Chinchirorin Guide

The Chinchirorin Dice Minigame continues from the first game to Suikoden 2 HD Remaster. Read on to learn how to play Chinchirorin, how to unlock it, and learn some tips on playing the minigame!

How to Unlock Chinchirorin

Recruit Shilo

Character Location
Shilo Lakewest Inn

At Castle Level 2, players can recruit Shilo by winning 5,000 Potch from him by playing Chinchirorin at the Lakewest Inn.

He will then set up the Chinchirorin minigame back at your castle.

5000 Potch Requirement Increases If You Lose

5000 Potch Requirement

If you lose to Shilo in Chinchirorin, the 5000 Potch requirement will increase, as you'll need to recover both the original 5000 Potch and any additional Potch he wins from you during the game.

If you don’t have enough money to gamble, it’s best not to continue. Quitting the challenge will reset the requirement back to 5000 Potch, so it’s better to exit and try again later rather than risk raising the total amount you need to win.

Find Shilo in the Barracks on the First Floor

Shilo Location

After recruiting Shilo, you can find him in the Barracks on the first floor of your castle.

This is where you can play Chinchirorin with him at any time.

How to Play Chinchirorin

Chinchirorin Game Rules

  • The player throws three dice into a bowl at the same time.
  • If two dice show the same number, the number on the third die becomes the player's score. The player with the highest score wins.
  • Rolling two of any number except 1, or a sequence of 4-5-6, doubles the player’s winnings. Rolling two 1s or the sequence 1-2-3 causes the player to lose double their wager instead.
  • Rolling three of the same number is called a "Storm," and the player wins triple their wager. Rolling three 1s, however, results in an automatic loss, and the player must pay triple their wager instead.
  • If the player fails to get a scoring roll within three attempts, they will not have a score for their turn. If a die falls out of the bowl, the player who made the roll automatically loses.
  • If both players fail to get a score for their respective turns, it will be a draw and no money will change hands.

After winning a lot, it is highly likely that the dealer will enter a winning streak of his own. Make sure to exit the minigame before this happens.
