How to Unlock the Item Shop

1. Recruit Alex and Hilda
2. Locate the Item Shop at the Castle
3. Buy and Sell Items and Consumables

Recruit Alex and Hilda

After establishing your Headquarters during Chapter 3, players can recruit Alex and Hilda to set up an Item Shop and Inn in your base. Speak with Alex in the inn at South Window and he and Hilda will be recruited.

Locate the Item Shop

Item shops can be found in major cities throughout your playthrough, marked by a vial or a potion icon.

In the Headquarters, they can be found in the bottom left area outside of the building.

How to Use the Item Shop

Buy Recovery Items and Consumables

Item Shops mainly hold recovery items and consumables that can help you throughout your playthrough.

Before setting on a quest, make sure to spend your Potch to make sure your team can stay healthy throughout the quest. You can also sometimes find Runes in these shops, allowing them to equip team members with new skills.

Sell Items

Items can be sold here to make quick Potch. The value of items will remain the same between shops, but taking miscellaneous items to an Appraiser can possibly increase the value of an item.

Money Farming Guide

Purchase Rare Finds

Some Item Shops have a section called Rare Finds that offer valuable items. These can be Old Books, Recipes, or Powerful Runes that can aid your gameplay.

Be sure to look out for these when you visit a new shop!
