Push the Gauge Beyond the Yellow Zone

When playing the fishing minigame, be sure to push the gauge beyond or close to the top of the yellow zone.

The yellow zone descends relatively slow, but ascends really fast so make sure the gauge is above it to make catching fish easier.

Fishes Caught Will Be Random

The fish that you catch are randomized. You will have to repeat the minigame to catch the fish you want.

How to Unlock the Fishing Minigame

Recruit Yam Koo in Kuskus Town

You will be able to unlock the fishing minigame after you have recruited Yam Koo in Kuskus Town, which is possible after you unlocked the Headquarters. Yam Koo will also join after you recruited Tai Ho.

You need to win a total of 5,000 Potch in a single game of Chinchirorin against Tai Ho to recruit the both of them.

How to Start the Fishing Minigame

Talk with Yam Koo at the Dock

You can start the fishing minigame by talking to Yam Koo, who is located at the dock of your base.

To enter the docks from your bedroom in the Headquarters, go down two floors using the nearest stairs. Enter the door with an anchor sign and go outside. Yam Koo will be on the right side of the docks.

Different Types of Fish You Can Catch

Fishes Caught are Saved as Ingredients or Sold to Yam Koo

Some of the fishes you can catch in the minigame can be used as ingredients. If it can be used for cooking, you have to the option to save it as an ingredient or sell it to Yam Koo.

The price of the fish will depend on its size, so consider selling the largest fish in your inventory.
