Upon meeting with Nanami in Part 1, players will come across a vase in the house where they meet Nanami.
Given a selection of three vases of different size, choosing the medium-sized vase will provide 3000 Potch to the player upon being appraised and sold.
How to Unlock and Use the Appraisal Shop
At Toto Village, speak to Pilika and she will ask you to buy a Wooden Amulet in Muse City.
After travelling to the Item Shop in Muse City, the shopkeeper will give you the option for either the player or Jowy to pay for the amulet.
Having Jowy pay for the amulet will cause him to sell his family ring for 2000 Potch, leaving the player with the Wooden Amulet and 1500 Potch.
Trading Posts will sell trade items that cannot be bought or sold elsewhere. By buying the right item for one trading post and selling it to another trading post in another city, you can gain massive profit.
One example is buying a crystal ball from South Window City then selling it at Kobold VIllage. This will net you a proft of around 6500 Potch, depending on trade prices.
Trading Guide: How to Trade and Best Trading Routes
In battle, the Bribe command can be used to pay a sum of Potch to successfully escape. The amount of Potch required to escape is determined by the strength of the enemies, and will not lower the more enemies you defeat.
There are various item shops in each major village and city that allows the player to purchase supplies and rare items. Be sure to spend your Potch to prepare for the journey ahead.
