The most common way to use trade items is to create a trade at a Trade Shop and earn Potch. Once you have the ability to easily teleport around with the Blinking Mirror, this becomes a great way to farm money.
You can display Antiques that you find inside your base's baths. To do this, you will need to recruit Tetsu first so that he will build the baths, then you'll simply need to talk to him to select which Antiques you want to display.

If you display certain Antiques, you will create bath scenes with unqiue animations. Also, certain combination of characters can trigger bath scenes, similar to how you need Abizboah and Ruloadia for the octopi scene.
Certain goods, like Soy Sauce and Red Peppers, can also be used as cooking ingredients. Make sure to stock up on these since some of the dishes Hai Yo cooks provide amazing effects.
