Examine the Tree in Kyaro

Players can recruit Mukumuku by examining the large tree behind Genkaku's Dojo three times before meeting Nanami. Alternatively, you can wander the path from Greenhill to the Muse/Greenhill border with an empty slot in your party.

Get Mukumuku to Recruit Other Flying Squirrels

Do note that you will need to recruit Mukumuku so that you can recruit the other Flying Squirrels in the game. If not, you will be locked out from recruiting the other squirrels.
