If you're trying to get through the Great Forest from the left side after the Battle of Pannu Yakuta Castle, bring an elf in your party to avoid being stuck in a loop. The Great Forest requires an elf to guide you through it.

Teleport to the Village of the Elves

If you already recruited Viki from the first time you went through the Great Forest with Kirkis, you can ask her to teleport you to the Village of the Elves on the other side of the forest. From here, you can head north to the Kobold Village or to the other towns in the area. This method does not need an elf.

Great Forest Infinite Loop

Stuck in a Loop at the Great Forest

You can get stuck in a loop going through the Great Forest without an elf in your party. This does not happen the first time you go through since you'll have Kirkis in the party with you.

If you're stuck in the loop, go left back to where you came from to get back to the Great Forest Village. You can then go to your Headquarters and talk to either Sanchez or Mathiu to add an elf to your party.
