Here is a guide on leveling up fast in Suikoden 1 HD Remaster. Read on to learn how to level up fast, EXP farming tips, and what the maximum level is!

There is a trick that allows characters to reach level 96 after one battle. The conditions are that only the main character and the character you want to level up must be in your party. Additionally, the character must be at level 36 with at least 900 EXP.
Fight and defeat a specific squad of enemies: x3 Hell Hounds, x1 Whip Master, and x2 Elite Soldiers in Moravia to level up your chosen character to level 96 in one battle.

Equipping the Fortune Rune allows the party to receive double the EXP after defeating an enemy.
When going for a grinding session, make sure to equip this rune to double your experience points gained after a battle.
Players can receive a Fortune Rune in Sarady, given by one of the villagers in the town. Keep in mind that you must speak to this villager before recruiting Ted or else this interaction will not be available anymore.
The Fortune Rune is also a rare item only purchaseable in the Kirov Item Shop or rarely dropped by Magus in the Moravia Castle.
How to Get Fortune Rune and Effects
If you've pre-ordered the game, you can choose to start a new game with the DLC pack activated, and start off with 57,500 Potch, a Fortune Orb, and a Prosperity Orb!
Experience points are shared among all people in the party. Even incapacitated players still receive EXP so if players wish to farm EXP for a particular character, it's best to limit your party count when grinding.
How to Change Party Members and Formation
In Suikoden 1, the amount of experience gained by the players will increase if players battle with stronger enemies. Exploring new places and fighting higher-leveled enemies will help level up most of your characters naturally.
The last place you are in the story is typically the best place to find strong enemies to level up your characters.

The maximum level a character can reach is 99. Not all characters will have the same stats upon reaching level 99, as each character has different stat growths.
