Suikoden 1 Early Game Walkthrough

Gregminster

1	After starting starting the game, talk to Teo to start an audience with the Emperor. Choose any dialogue option to continue the story.
2	Head down the stairs to the northeast and examine the far right armour in the room opposite of Kraze to get 100 Potch. If you miss it, you can come back later to get it.
3	Talk to Kraze and you'll be brought by Teo back to your house once the conversation ends. From here, you'll now be able to freely explore Gregminster. ▶︎ Gregminster Map and Chest Locations
*	Optionally, you can leave Gregminster and head southwest to get to Sarady, through Mt. Tigerwolf, to get one of two rare Runes. Depending on if you go there alone or with Ted, you'll get the Fortune Rune or Prosperity Rune respectively. This detour is difficult as you will encounter some tough foes along the way. If you choose to do this, it's recommended to level up to around level 8-10 so that you can choose "Let Go" and guarantee to run away from hard fights. ▶︎ List of All Runes and Effects
4	Go up to the second floor and Ted will automatically join your party. Afterwards, head to your room in the bottom left to continue the story. Once the dinner cutscene is over, Gremio will also join you, as well as Pahn and Cleo once you go downstairs.
5	Head back to the castle and talk to Kraze to get your first mission. You'll be tasked with heading northeast to the Magician's Island to talk to Leknaat.
*	Before you go to the island, take this time to head outside of Gregminster to grind some EXP and Potch. There are no shops or save points on the island so make sure that you're fully prepared before heading over there.
6	When you're ready, head to the east side of the palace grounds to talk to Futch and fly to Magician's Island.

Magician's Island

1	Once you've landed on the island, follow the path ahead and collect any items along the way. ▶︎ Magician's Island Map and Collectable Locations
2	At the end of the path, you'll encounter Luc who summons a Clay Doll for you to defeat. This is the first boss fight of the game so make sure you're fully prepared beforehand. ▶︎ Clay Doll Boss Guide
3	After the fight, head inside the tower and talk to Leknaat at the top to get the Astral Predications. You will also receive a Fire Rune and return to Gregminster once the cutscene ends.
*	It's recommended to go to the Rune Shop and equip the Fire Rune on Cleo right away. You can also equip it on Gremio if you wish since he's the only other character that can have a Rune equipped on them at this point in the game. ▶︎ How to Equip and Level Up Runes
4	Head back to the castle and talk to Kraze to give him the Astral Predications. Afterwards, you'll be tasked with heading east to Rockland.
*	If you haven't saved yet, make sure to visit the Inn and save before continuing on your journey. ▶︎ How to Save

Rockland

1	When you reach Rockland, explore the town and shops first before heading to Grady's Mansion in the northern part of the town. ▶︎ Rockland Map and Collectable Locations
2	Once you're done, head to the mansion and talk to Grady to learn about the bandits in Mt. Seifu.
*	Before going to the mountain, it's recommended to go southwest to Lenankamp and visit the blacksmith to upgrade your weapons.
3	After finalizing any necessary preparations, head east from Rockland to get to Mt. Seifu.

Mt. Seifu

1	Follow the path to the top of the mountain, collecting any items you find along the way. ▶︎ Mt. Seifu Map and Collectable Locations
2	Towards the end of the cave, you'll face a boss fight against a Queen Ant and Soldier Ants. However, this is a scripted fight that you can't win so preserve your resources instead and aim to survive until the fight ends in three turns. ▶︎ Queen Ant Boss Guide
3	After surviving the fight, continue on through the cave until you reach the summit. Before proceeding to the peak, make sure you heal up and save at the blue orb first.
4	When you're ready, head on forward to face some enemies, followed by a boss fight with Varkas and Sydonia. Make sure to utilize your Runes' attacks to quickly take them down. ▶︎ Varkas and Sydonia Boss Guide and How to Beat
5	Once the bosses have been defeated, you'll be automatically transported to the base of the mountain. From there, you can leave and make your way back to Rockland.
6	Before you can talk to Grady, you'll need to save some Kids in front of his mansion first. Once they've been rescued and you've reported back to Grady, you're free to return to Gregminster.
*	Before entering Gregminster, make sure to empty out Ted and Pahn's inventories since they will leave the party as part of the story. Ted will leave as soon as you enter the town so make sure to empty his inventory first. You'll still have some time to remove Pahn's items once you're inside so you can sort out his stuff later in case you're running out of inventory space.
7	When you're ready, head back home to rest. After the first cutscene ends, head to the front door for a series of cutscenes where you will receive the Soul Eater Rune for the Hero. ▶︎ How to Get Soul Eater and Effects
8	After the events at your home, head to the Inn for another cutscene. Once you have control of your character again, head downstairs to make a save and attempt to leave for some more cutscenes.
9	Finally, after all the cutscenes are over, head north towards some benches and talk to Viktor to accept his request and have him join the party. He'll tell you that the next step of your journey after leaving Gregminster is to head south to Lenankamp in order to meet someone.

Lenankamp

1	After you've departed from Gregminster, head south towards Lenankamp. In case you haven't done so yet, explore the town to purchase any items and upgrades you need, especially for your weapons at the blacksmith. ▶︎ Lenankamp Guide and Recruitable Characters
2	Once you've spent the night at the inn, a cutscene will start. Interact with Odessa who emerges behind the clock to meet the Liberation Army in the inn's basement.
3	After the cutscene, a collapsed bandit will appear in front of the stairs leading out of the basement. Helping him will start another cutscene and Odessa will task you with rescuing Varkas and Sydonia.
4	When you're ready, head northeast towards Rockland, and interact with the NPC located in front of Grady's Mansion to initiate a cutscene. From there, Viktor will cause a distraction, allowing you to enter the building.
5	Follow the path leading to the left and defeat any Empire Soldiers that you encounter. You can also find some treasure chests along the way so make sure not to miss them. ▶︎ Rockland Military Government Office Map Guide and Collectible Locations
6	Continue on until you exit the building through the leftmost door. Once you're outside, rescue Varkas and Sydonia and head back towards Lenankamp.
7	Go back to the hideout beneath the inn and approach the Liberation Army. Odessa will join you and you'll be tasked with going to Sarady, located past Mt. Tigerwolf. ▶︎ How to Recruit Odessa Silverberg and Stats

Mt. Tigerwolf

1	Head northwest from Lenankamp and pass the bridge to reach Mt. Tigerwolf. On the way up, make sure to collect any treasures along the way, especially if you didn't go here at the start of the game. ▶︎ Mt. Tigerwolf Map and Collectible Locations
2	Once you've reached the halfway point of the path, a cutscene will occur. After spending the night at the inn, continue heading north until you've reached Sarady.

Sarady

1	Go to the large building in the middle to rest at the inn. This will trigger a cutscene with Odessa, and once that's done, go back to bed so that you can progress the story and head back to Lenankamp. ▶︎ Sarady Guide and Available Shops
*	While it's not required, it's recommended to go to the item shop and purchase a Water Orb so that you're not as reliant on Medicine for healing in the future. ▶︎ How to Get Water Rune and Effects
2	Before going back inside Lenankamp's inn, you'll want to remove Odessa's items and equipment since going inside will have her leave the party.
3	When you're ready, go inside the inn to trigger a cutscene. Afterwards, follow Odessa down into the hideout and fight through a bunch of enemies to reach her.
4	Once the battle ends, another cutscene will start. The dialogue options that you will pick will result in the same outcome, but choosing "I can't" three times will cause Viktor to react.
5	After the cutscene ends, your next task is to head south to Seika, through the Fortress of Kwaba.

Kwaba

*	Once you pass through Kwaba's checkpoint, you won't be able to return north to Gregminster and its surrounding areas. Make sure that you haven't missed anything important before you head south to progress the story.
1	When you're ready, head into Kwaba to start a cutscene where you get through the checkpoint. Your dialogue choices don't matter here, but choosing "I'll have your head for this!" three times will cause Gremio to react and Viktor will stop him. ▶︎ Fortress of Kwaba Guide and Recruitable Characters
2	Once you're past the checkpoint, continue heading south until you've reached the town of Seika.

Seika

1	Explore the town first to get any items you need, and once you're ready, head to the northernmost house to look for Mathiu. ▶︎ Seika Guide and Recruitable Characters
2	Talking to the kids inside the house will reveal that Mathiu is out for a walk. Leave the house first and talk to the man in front of the stairs to reveal that he's actually Mathiu.
3	After the conversation ends, he'll go back to his home. Follow him and talk to him again, but his stance won't change so leave the house once more.
4	Once you're back at the bottom of the stairs, some soldiers will go to Mathiu's house, so head back one more time to fight them.
5	After the battle's done, talk to Mathiu for the last time to convince him to join you, as long as you're the leader of the Liberation Army.
6	Your next task is to claim the castle in the middle of Lake Toran to use as your headquarters. However, you'll need to go southwest to Kaku first so you can get a boat that will take you there.

Kaku

1	Once you've arrived in Kaku, explore the town as usual for any items and equipment you may need. However, it's recommended not to purchase any armour upgrades here since you can go southeast to the Great Forest Village instead since there are better armour pieces over there. ▶︎ Kaku Guide and Recruitable Characters
2	When you're done, head to the bar in the southeast and talk to Camille to recruit her. This will also unlock the bar's basement where Tai Ho is, so make your way downstairs afterwards. ▶︎ How to Recruit Camille and Stats
3	To recruit Tai Ho and get the boat you need to cross the lake, you'll need to beat him at a game of dice first. If you don't want to waste money trying to recruit him, you can always save before playing and reload if you lose. ▶︎ How to Recruit Tai Ho and Stats
4	After winning the dice game and recruiting him, you can head out to the docks and talk to Tai Ho to sail west to Toran Lake Castle.
5	Before going to the castle, it's recommended to head southeast first to the Great Forest Village to upgrade your armour and farm enemies in the Great Forest for a ton of EXP. While the fights here may seem hard, the enemies here are weak to Fire so you can use the Fire Rune's AoE spells to quickly wipe them out. ▶︎ EXP Farming Guide: How to Level Up Fast

Toran Lake Castle

1	When you're ready, enter the castle grounds and make your way through the dungeon. As a note, you can talk to Yam Koo at any time to sail back to Kaku if need be. ▶︎ Toran Lake Castle Map Guide and Collectible Locations
*	The enemies around here are pretty difficult, so take this opportunity to fight them and level up if needed. However, it's still recommended to farm in the Great Forest instead since the EXP gains there are better and access to an inn is a lot quicker compared to having to sail back from the castle. ▶︎ EXP Farming Guide: How to Level Up Fast
2	After you're done grinding, head inside and follow the path through the castle's caves. There's a bunch of chests with useful items inside so make sure not to miss them.
3	Around halfway through the dungeon, you'll come across a save point. Make a save before continuing on forwards since this dungeon is pretty long compared to the previous ones and you don't want to lose any progress.
4	Once you've reached the second large room, you'll want to heal up first before continuing down the stairs since you're about to face the boss of this dungeon.
5	When you're ready, continue down the stairs to face the Zombie Dragon. This is the first real boss fight so make sure you're fully prepared. ▶︎ Zombie Dragon Boss Guide
6	After beating the dragon, you'll claim the castle as your new base of operations. You can also name the castle, so make sure to pick something good since this choice is permanent. ▶︎ Castle Headquarters Guide
7	A few more cutscenes will play, and you'll wake up with the castle being refurbished. You'll also unlock Yam Koo and Luc as party members, so make sure to talk to Mathiu so that you can organize who's in your party. ▶︎ How to Change Party Members and Formation
*	Before continuing your journey, you'll want to revisit Kaku, Seika, and Kwaba first so you can recruit new allies to the Liberation Army. ▶︎ List of All Characters and Recruitment Guide
*	Your first stop will be to head back to Kaku, where you can recruit Sergei at the bar. Once that's done, you can leave the town and head to Seika next.
*	Once you've arrived in Seika, you'll be looking to recruit Marie inside the inn, as well as Onil inside the house in the middle of town.
*	Afterwards, you can head north to Kwaba to recruit Chandler located just before the checkpoint.
*	The last recruit you're looking for is Antonio in Seika's inn, but you'll need to head back to your headquarters and rest at the inn first. Doing this will cause Marie to say that she needs a cook the next time you talk to her, which then allows you to recruit Antonio back in Seika.
8	Once you're done recruiting everyone that you can, you can head towards Kouan, located south of Kaku.

Kouan

*	Before going into Kouan, it's recommended to head further west first so that you can go to Garan and recruit Kai. He's a powerful fighter that has a strong Unite Attack with the Hero, so make sure to add him to the party before progressing. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kai and Stats
1	When you're ready, head into Kouan and make your way to Lepant’s Mansion in the upper west side of town. However, you’ll be stopped by Giovanni who won’t allow you to enter. ▶︎ Kouan Guide
2	To find a way into the mansion, visit the inn and talk to Krin, who can help you infiltrate Lepant’s Mansion.
3	After talking to him, go outside and talk to him again to begin the infiltration mission.
4	Once inside, explore thoroughly and collect any treasures you come across. Along the way, you’ll also encounter two characters to recruit, Roc and Juppo As a note, you may not receive a notification that Juppo gets recruited, but he does join you once the events at Kouan have concluded. ▶︎ Lepant's Mansion Map Guide
5	Partway through the mansion, you'll encounter a room full of robot guards. Be careful not to walk into them or their line of sight and just walk behind them to safely cross the room.
6	Towards the end of the mansion, you'll encounter a big room with a roulette wheel that you can step on. Getting on the wheel will cause it to spin, and depending on where it lands, you'll either gain or lose EXP, get a treasure chest, start a fight, get a Dragon Incense, or unlock the path forward.
*	Besides aiming to land at the top to access the room containing the Kirinji, you'll want to keep spinning the wheel until you get the Dragon Incense. This is an extremely useful item since it can heal the entire party and has infinite uses, but it can only be used in battle. ▶︎ How to Get Dragon Incense and How to Use
7	Once you've reached the last room and obtained the Kirinji, go back the way you came and exit Lepant’s Mansion.
8	After leaving the mansion, a cutscene will play. You then need to head to Commander Kraze’s Office located on the north side of Kouan. Once you're inside, talk to Lepant to have him join your party and assist him in the fight. ▶︎ How to Recruit Lepant and Stats
9	Once the battle's over, explore the office for some treasures and, when you're ready, head to the rightmost room on the second floor to rescue Eileen.
10	Defeating the soldiers and rescuing Eileen will cause another cutscene to start, and once that's over, you can recruit Pahn back to your team. ▶︎ How to Recruit Pahn and Stats
11	Return to your headquarters, where you’ll find that Giovanni, Krin, Varkas, and Sydonia have also joined the Liberation Army.
12	Following a celebratory banquet, you’ll be ambushed by an Assassin, triggering another battle. You can only reduce the Assassin’s HP, as he cannot be defeated outright. ▶︎ Assassin Boss Guide
13	After the battle, you’ll awaken in your bed. From there, head down to the docks to meet and recruit Kirkis, who'll also give you your next task of helping out the Elves. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kirkis and Stats
*	Before continuing your journey, take time to organize your party and carefully choose who will accompany you. Since Gremio and Kirkis are mandatory for this part of the story, you can bring 3 more party members of your choice. It's recommended to at least bring Viktor with you, since he will become a mandatory party member later on in the story. ▶︎ Recommended Party Setup
*	Also, make sure to visit a rune shop and equip Wind and Lightning Runes on your party for a future boss fight. At the very least, have Kirkis equip a Wind Rune since he will be used in two boss fights where they'll be weak to Wind. ▶︎ How to Equip and Level Up Runes

Great Forest Village

1	With your party prepared, begin your journey to the Great Forest Village. From your main base, travel by boat to Kaku, then head south to Kouan, then finally continue southeast until you reach a large forest village. Don't forget to visit the other towns and shops as well so that you can properly equip your new party members.
2	Upon arriving at the Great Forest Village, speak to Maas at the blacksmiths and Sansuke at the bathhouse to recruit them. ▶︎ Great Forest Village Guide

Great Forest

1	Follow the path through the forest, exploring as you go to find any treasure chests along the way. ▶︎ Great Forest Map Guide
4	In the middle of the forest, you'll have a short cutscene where you meet Viki. Make sure to recruit her since she's one of the most important characters to get thanks to her ability to teleport you to previously visited locations. ▶︎ How to Teleport
5	Once you've exited the forest, you'll enter the Kobold Village and start a short cutscene. You can't do anything here yet so leave the village and head south towards the Village of the Elves. ▶︎ Kobold Village Guide

Village of the Elves

1	When you enter the Village of the Elves, a quick cutscene will play. Once that's done, explore the town and shops for anything you may need. ▶︎ Village of the Elves Guide
2	Go to the northernmost house and speak with the Elder Elf. After talking with them, you will be thrown into jail along with the rest of your party.
3	While in prison, speak to Valeria and Stallion. Once that's done, approach the gate on the right to trigger a cutscene where Sylvina lets you out.
4	As you leave the Village of the Elves, Valeria will join your party. She is a strong and capable character, so it’s highly recommended to train her as a regular member of your team. ▶︎ How to Recruit Valeria and Stats
*	Do note that you cannot revisit the Village of the Elves once you reach a certain point in the story, so make sure to get whatever you need now. Thankfully, nothing in the shops is missable since their inventory will become available at your headquarters later on.
5	When you're ready, head northeast from the village and go towards the Dwarf Trail.

Dwarf Trail

1	Follow the path along the Dwarf Trail and open any treasure chests that you find. You can find a Killer Rune in one of the chests, which is highly recommended to equip on Viktor or another high strength party member. ▶︎ Dwarf Trail Map Guide
2	As you travel through the mountain road, you’ll encounter Kuromimi again. Afterwards, keep following the northern path until you exit the trail.
3	Once you're back in the overworld, head northeast to reach the Village of the Dwarves.

Village of the Dwarves

1	Once you're in the Village of the Dwarves, explore the town as usual for new upgrades. The most important ones to get are weapon upgrades at the blacksmith since you can now increase them up to level 9. ▶︎ Village of the Dwarves Guide
*	While you're at the smithy, talk to Meese as well so that you can recruit him to your army. ▶︎ How to Recruit Meese and Stats
2	After purchasing whatever you need, head to the northeastern house to talk to the Dwarven Chief. Once the cutscene's done, you'll be tasked with infiltrating the Dwarves' Vault.
3	When you're ready, leave the village and head north to enter the vault. Make sure you've stocked up on supplies since it's a relatively long dungeon with some tough fights.

Dwarves' Vault

1	Talk to the dwarf guarding the stairs and make your way down. You'll pass through a bunch of empty rooms so just keep going down until you reach the first major area of the dungeon. As always, make sure to keep an eye out for any treasures while exploring the vault. ▶︎ Dwarves' Vault Map Guide
2	The first obstacle you'll encounter is a room with three levers and balls blocking your way. Flip the switches following the order of middle, left, and right to open a path to the Sunbeam Orb and the exit at the other end of the room.
3	From there, just keep going down until you reach a small maze. Grab the treasures in this room and exit through the northeast once you're done.
4	Again, keep going down until you enter a room with floating platforms. Go down twice from the middle platform to get the Lightning Rune Piece first, then head back and go down twice from the rightmost platform to exit the room.
5	Keep following the path down until you reach a puzzle room with a slab that has "beep" "boop" "boop" "beep" "beep" "beep" "boop" "boop" engraved on it. This is a reference to the sound that switches make, so press them in the order of left, right, right, left, left, left, right, right to solve the puzzle.
6	Once the doors open, go through and explore the rooms to the side first for treasure chests before continuing forward.
7	Past the crossroad rooms, you'll be in a new room with three staircases. Don't bother entering the ones to the side, since they lead to empty rooms, and just grab the treasure in the southwest and exit through the stairs in the bottom middle.
8	Before continuing, heal up first since you're about to face the boss of this dungeon. When you're ready, continue down the path to face Gigantes, who's weak to Wind and Lightning attacks. ▶︎ Gigantes Boss Guide
9	After defeating the boss, go through the doorway to access the final chests of the dungeon. Make sure to grab the one in the middle room since it contains the Flowing Water Cane needed to progress the story.
10	When you're ready, leave the dungeon, either on foot or with an Escape Talisman, and head back to the Village of the Dwarves to talk to the Chief.
11	Once that's done, make your way back to the Village of the Elves. A few cutscenes will occur while you're on the Dwarf Trail and when you enter the village. Once those are done, make your way back to the Kobold Village.
12	Entering Kobold Village will cause another cutscene to start where Valeria will temporarily leave the party and Kuromimi will join in her place. Afterwards, you'll be engaged in a battle against some soldiers. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kuromimi and Stats
13	After the fight's over, one more cutscene will play and you'll be sent into your first army battle at Pannu Yakuta Castle.

Pannu Yakuta Castle

1	The Battle at Pannu Yakuta will be your first army battle and can be difficult if you don't know what you're doing. It's recommended to use your Thieves first to learn the enemy's next action, allowing you to counter their attack. If you're low on troops or close to winning, you can also use your Merchant to steal some enemy units, as well as your Strategist to maximize the damage of your next Charge attack. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide
2	After winning the battle, the Dwarven Chief will come to your aid and you'll automatically be assigned the party of Hero, Gremio, Viktor, Kirkis, Valeria, and Kuromimi.
3	Before storming the castle, you can leave first and take a detour to fix your party's inventory and equipment. While you're at it, visit the Village of the Elves as well so that you can recruit Templeton and unlock the World Map. ▶︎ How to Recruit Templeton
4	When you're ready, head inside the castle and explore it for any treasure chests. There's also a rest point in the room to the right on the first floor, so make sure to come back here every now and then to heal up. ▶︎ Pannu Yakuta Castle Map Guide
5	After gathering all the treasures, head to the 3rd floor to face the castle's boss, a Dragon. It'll be weak to Wind so make sure Kirkis has level 2 spell slots available before going into the fight. ▶︎ Dragon Boss Guide
6	Once you've beaten the boss, heal up the Hero and head to the top floor to face Kwanda Rosman in your first duel. Pay attention to his dialogue cues so that you know what type of move he will use against you. ▶︎ Kwanda Rosman Duel Guide
7	After winning the duel, an important set of dialogue choices will come up. When prompted, select "Something's wrong here." and "I want you to join us." to recruit Kwanda Rosman. If you mash through the dialogue or select the wrong options, he will die and you will no longer be able to recruit all 108 characters in the game. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kwanda Rosman and Stats
8	When the events at Pannu Yakuta Castle are over, you'll be teleported back to your headquarters, ready for the next part of your journey.

Suikoden 1 Mid Game Walkthrough

Fortress of Garan

1	Speak to Flik, who is located in the meeting room of the headquarters. After the cutscene ends, he will leave the castle and go to Kaku.
2	Go to the house guarded by two soldiers across the docks to find Flik. Speak to him so that you can recruit him to your party. ▶︎ How to Recruit Flik and Stats
3	From there, head back to the headquarters and return to where you met Flik earlier to launch an assault on the Fortress of Garan. ▶︎ Fortress of Garan Guide
4	Unlike the previous army battle, you'll have the numbers advantage in this fight. Because of this, you don't have to worry too much about what the opponent is doing and you can go heavily on the offensive. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide
5	After conquering the fortress, you'll immediately be thrown into another army battle for Scarleticia Castle. However, this cannot be won and you'll retreat after your first command.
6	Once you've fled from the battlefield, you'll regroup back at the Fortress of Garan and Flik, Viktor, and Gremio will join your party. Do note that for Gremio to join, you'll need to tell him to come with you.
*	Before continuing with the story, you'll want to take a detour to recruit some new allies first. Make sure that Juppo and Lepant are in your party since they're required to recruit two specific characters. ▶︎ List of All Characters and Recruitment Guide
*	First off, head to Kaku and talk to Meg outside of the inn and recruit her. Again, make sure Juppo is in your party or else she won't join you. ▶︎ How to Recruit Meg and Stats
*	Next, head back to the bar's basement, where Tai Ho was originally, and gamble with Gaspar. To recruit him, you'll need to win at least 5000 Potch. As mentioned before, if you don't want to lose money, it's best to save first before you start gambling. ▶︎ How to Recruit Gaspar
*	Afterwards, head to Kouan and go inside the inn to recruit Lorelai. You'll need to be at least Level 25 to recruit her, so come back later if you still need to grind EXP. ▶︎ How to Recruit Lorelai and Stats
*	Once you're done in Kouan, head to Seika next. Your first stop will be the inn, where you can recruit Sheena as long as Lepant is in your party. ▶︎ How to Recruit Sheena and Stats
*	Finally, the last character you're looking to recruit is Apple, who can be found inside Mathiu's house on the north side of town. Once she's part of the team, you can head back to your headquarters to reorganize your party. ▶︎ How to Recruit Apple
7	When you're ready, head back to the Fortress of Garan and head out west to Teien to continue your journey.

Teien

1	Before doing anything else, go to the inn in Teien to recruit Hellion. This is very important since you can get the Blinking Mirror from the chest to her right after recruiting her. The combination of the Blinking Mirror teleporting you back to your HQ and Viki teleporting you to wherever you've been before makes travelling so much easier. Because of this, you'll want to make sure you don't miss recruiting Hellion to get the mirror. ▶︎ Teien Guide
2	Now that you're in a new region, and you got the Blinking Mirror, take this opportunity to explore the surrounding areas first to farm enemies and unlock new locations to fast travel to.
3	Once you're done, head back to Teien and go to the blacksmiths to upgrade your weapons up to level 12. However, this can be very expensive so you'll want to talk to Gaspar in the headquarters to gamble and farm money. ▶︎ Teien Guide
4	After you've upgraded your gear, talk to the villager outside the smithy to learn about Liukan, who's located in Rikon. Learning about this, you can head out of town and travel south to find him.

Rikon

*	Once you're in Rikon, explore the town for anything you need. The most important place to visit is the appraiser's building so you can recruit Jabba by presenting him a Nameless Urn. If you don't have one, you can get a Nameless Urn as a drop from the Holly Masters encountered outside the town. ▶︎ Rikon Guide
1	When you're done, talk to a villager in the middle of town to learn that Liukan is now hiding in the middle of the mountains. To get there, you'll need to take a boat and sail south down the river, but the path is blocked by rapids. To progress the story, you'll need to sail into the rapids first, otherwise, a plot trigger won't go off.
2	Landing back on Rikon, you'll need to find someone who can build a boat strong enough to cross the rapids. Thankfully, you can talk to a man named Gen in Teien's top left house for this so go there to recruit him. ▶︎ How to Recruit Gen and Stats
3	For Gen to help you, he'll require the help of Kamandol who lives next door. After a cutscene, you'll recruit him as well and you'll be heading back to Rikon so they can upgrade the boat. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kamandol and Stats
4	Once you're back in Rikon, your new allies will tell you to rest at the inn and that they'll have the boat ready the next day. Take this opportunity to save as well and sail over to Liukan's Hermitage once they're done installing the engine.

Liukan's Hermitage

1	Board on the upgraded boat and head back to the rapids that can now be easily crossed. Enter Liukan's Hermitage, which you will see immediately upon crossing.
2	When you finally get to speak to Liukan, Milich suddenly swoops down and kidnaps him. Before you leave and return to your headquarters, get the Black Paint from the chest in his home.
3	At the headquarters, speak with Mathiu and he will ask you to travel to Antei to get assistance from Kimberly and Tesla using Mathiu's Letter.
*	Before heading to Antei, you'll want to take another detour to recruit some more allies to your army. Make sure that Kuromimi is in your party and that you have at least 10,000 Potch so that you can recruit the two characters you're looking for. ▶︎ Money Farming Guide
*	When you're ready, teleport to the Village of the Elves and head northwest to the Kobold Village. Once you're there, head to the inn and speak to Fu Su Lu to recruit him by paying 10,00 Potch for his meal. ▶︎ How to Recruit Fu Su Lu and Stats
*	Afterwards, head to the house in the south to talk and recruit Gon. Again, you'll need Kuromimi in your party otherwise they won't join you. ▶︎ How to Recruit Gon and Stats
4	Once you're done, head back to the headquarters and fix your party before going west from Teien to get to Antei. ▶︎ How to Change Party Members

Antei

1	Arriving in Antei, you'll want to spend some time exploring the town to purchase anything you may need. Also, you'll have a bunch of new allies to recruit in this town. ▶︎ Antei Guide
*	The first person you're looking for is Jeane, who runs the rune shop. She'll join you as long as your headquarters is upgraded to Level 3. ▶︎ How to Recruit Jeane
*	Next, head to the armour shop to recruit Chapman, who should join since he requires you to have Level 2 Headquarters. ▶︎ How to Recruit Chapman
*	For the last optional recruit, go to the inn to dance with Mina and recruit her. To dance with her, the Hero will need to have Toe Shoes equipped, which you can buy at the armour shop. ▶︎ How to Recruit Mina and Stats
2	As for the required recruits in this area, you'll need to talk to Kimberly first in the house behind the inn. Once she joins, head to the house behind hers to recruit Tesla as well.
3	Now that you're done recruiting, you can head back to your HQ to talk to Mathiu. A cutscene will start and you'll receive False Orders that will let you infiltrate Soniere Prison.
*	As a note, Gremio will leave the party after Soniere Prison, so make sure you have inventory space to hold his unequipped items later.

Soniere Prison

1	When you're ready, teleport to Antei and head south to Soniere Prison. Walk up to the door and you'll present the False Orders to get inside. ▶︎ Soniere Prison Map Guide
2	Once you're inside, make a save at the orb and follow the path down, grabbing any treasures you find on the way.
2	At the bottom of the prison, you'll find Liukan trapped in one of the cells. Speak to him to unlock the door and make your way back out of the prison.
3	As mentioned earlier, Gremio will leave the party soon. Make sure that you've removed his rune and items from his inventory before reaching the top floor of the prison.
4	After reaching the prison's entrance and finishing the cutscene, you'll be teleported back to your headquarters, ready for the next part of your journey.

Scarleticia Castle

1	Approach the meeting area in your base to recruit Liukan. Afterwards, the army battle for Scarleticia Castle will begin. Now that you have a way to counteract the spores, this fight should be a breeze as long as you're analyzing the enemy's attack choices. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide
2	After winning the army battle, select the allies you'll bring with you to infiltrate the castle. Viktor and Flik are mandatory party members so make sure to plan your team composition accordingly. It's recommended to also bring Pahn with you, especially if he's underleveled, since you will use him later, and you'll want to make him as strong as you can before then. ▶︎ Best Party and Team Composition
3	When you're ready, head on inside and explore Scarleticia Castle. As a note, you can leave at any time in case you need to visit some shops or a blacksmith. ▶︎ Scarleticia Castle Map Guide
4	While exploring, you'll come across a portrait of Milich. Select "I actually kind of like his style..." to open up a secret room with two treasure chests inside. Also, there are two characters that you can recruit here, but you can't do it just yet so ignore them for now.
5	Once you're done searching the castle, head out to the balcony to confront Milich. Similar to Kwanda Rosman, you'll want to select "This man is innocent." and "Very well." to recruit him. 6	After the events at Scarleticia Castle are over, you will be alerted about an incoming army battle. Take this opportunity to make a save first since you're about to enter a pivotal part of the story. ▶︎ How to Save
7	Talk to Kasumi in the meeting room of the castle to recruit her and start an army battle against Teo. This battle is scripted and cannot be won since the enemy's Armoured Cavalry is way too strong. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide
8	Before the battle's lost, you will disengage and Pahn and Teo will start a duel. Make sure that he is sufficiently levelled and that you've upgraded his equipment beforehand, otherwise, you will permanently lose Pahn if he's defeated. ▶︎ Teo McDohl First Duel Guide
9	After the duel, head back to your room and rest. When you wake up, the Hero will now be able to use the Soul Eater's Black Shadow spell. ▶︎ How to Get Soul Eater and Effects
10	Before continuing the story, reorganize your party first. For the next section, you'll need to have Tai Ho with you so make sure you add him to your squad. Also, make sure Milich is with you as well since you'll need him to recruit one of the characters back in the castle.
11	When you're ready, talk to Flik in the meeting room, then head down to the docks to speak to Gen. From there, Tai Ho will pilot the new ship, letting you reach Kirov in the northwest part of the lake.
*	Now that you have free reign of where you can go again, you'll want to take a detour to recruit some new allies first. As a note, you can also visit the Pirate's Fortress already, but it's better to go there later once your party is a bit stronger.
*	As mentioned earlier, you'll go back to Scarleticia Castle to recruit the two characters there. As long as Milich is with you, Kasios joins automatically, while Ivanov will always come with you regardless .

Kirov

*	Once you're in Kirov, explore the town first and look for some more characters to recruit. ▶︎ Kirov Guide
1	Start by talking to Georges in the inn and beat the record in his Matching Cards Minigame to recruit him. You can select any difficulty for this so just keep going at it until you beat the score. ▶︎ How to Recruit Georges
2	Afterwards, recruit Lester in the large house by talking to him after visiting two houses and tasting their stew. For reference, the two houses you need to enter are the ones to the side of Sarah, who's washing clothes. ▶︎ How to Recruit Lester and Stats
3	Finally, talk to Sarah and start performing a trade chain with the residents of the town to get the soap required to recruit her. ▶︎ How to Recruit Sarah and Stats
*	To get some soap, you'll first need to purchase some sugar in the item shop. Once you have that, talk to the town's villagers in the reverse order of the image to unlock trade opportunities. Kalekka

1	Explore the town first for any treasures. The most important one that you're looking for is the Sound Rune in the northernmost house since it allows you to recruit Melodye back in Kirov. As a note, you don't have to go back and recruit her now since you'll need to pass by Kirov again anyways as part of the story. ▶︎ Kalekka Guide
2	After you're done exploring, go towards the northern exit and recruit Blackman by talking to him without stepping on his crops. If you do step on any, you can just reset the crops by leaving and re-entering the town. ▶︎ How to Recruit Blackman and Stats
3	Once you're done here, you can leave the town and head further north to get to the Secret Factory.

Secret Factory

1	Once you arrive, a short cutscene will play involving some familiar faces. After that's done, head inside and talk to Mose to get the Fire Spears. ▶︎ Secret Factory Guide

Pirate's Fortress

1	Add Tai Ho and Yam Koo to your party and then teleport to Kirov so you can travel southwest to the Pirate's Fortress. You won't be able to fight the next boss without them so make sure to bring them with you. ▶︎ Pirate's Fortress Guide

3	Once they've been recruited, return to the meeting area in your headquarters and talk to Mathiu to start the second army battle against Teo. Now that you have the Fire Spears, you can simply spam Charge to win the fight. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide

Fortress of Lorimar

1	After the duel with Teo, return to headquarters and speak with Mathiu in the meeting room. Before you go to the Fortress of Lorimar, make sure that you've fixed your party composition first. ▶︎ Fortress of Lorimar Guide

2	When you get there, a short cutscene will play and you can head out south to enter a new region. Before continuing on, make sure to exit and re-enter the fortress so that you can recruit Kirke to your army. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kirke and Stats
*	As usual, take some time to explore the new region first and visit every area so that you can unlock them as fast travel locations.
3	Once you're done, head to the Warriors' Village located south of the Fortress of Lorimar.

Warriors’ Village

1	After you arrive at the Warriors’ Village, go to the northernmost house and speak with Zorak, the Village Chief. After hearing his story, talk to Viktor in the bedroom to rest for the night. ▶︎ Warriors' Village Guide
2	The next morning, leave the house to trigger a cutscene that leads to a battle against Neclord. This is an unwinnable fight, so just use Auto-Battle to skip through the fight.
3	When you wake up after the fight, you'll want to talk to Zorak again, then take a quick detour to recruit some characters in the village.
4	On the east side of the village, you'll encounter Marco again. To recruit him, you'll need to win at least 5,000 Potch from his minigame. 5	Once that's done, head back to your headquarters first to add Maas, Meese, and Mose to your party. You'll need to have them with you to recruit Moose, located in the top right house of the Warriors' Village. *	Now that you've recruited Moose, you can upgrade your weapons up to level 15 by talking to him in your headquarters.

Qlon Temple

1	When you're ready, head west to Qlon Temple and speak with Fukien to recruit him and unlock the Cave of the Past. ▶︎ Qlon Temple Guide
*	Before going in, you'll want to recruit Zen, who's located beside the cave entrance, by giving him the following three flower seeds that can be purchased in item shops: ・Red Flower Seeds from the Warriors' Village. ・Blue Flower Seeds from Rikon. ・Yellow Flower Seeds from Teien. 2	Once you're done, and your party is prepared, head inside the Cave of the Past.

Cave of the Past

1	Before going deep inside the cave, take some time to fight enemies and level up your party. Once Kirkis is level 41, you can leave first to recruit Rubi inside the Kobold Village's inn. If this is your first time speaking to Rubi, you may need to talk to them one more time for them to actually join your party. ▶︎ How to Recruit Rubi and Stats
2	Once you're done, head back to the cave and make a save at the save point before going in and exploring for treasure chests. ▶︎ Cave of the Past Map Guide
3	While inside, make sure not the miss the Window Orb and Illustrated War Scroll, since they're required to recruit two characters.
4	Around halfway through the cave, there will be a hidden path that leads to Crowley. Unfortunately, you can't recruit them at this moment so keep his location in mind for now.
5	At the end of the cave, you'll encounter the Celestial Sword, and after a short cutscene, you will be teleported to the Village of the Hidden Rune.

Village of the Hidden Rune

1	Once you're in the village, follow the young boy around until the village chief calls out for him.
2	From there, head to the northern house to speak with the old man. After the cutscene, follow the path south and you can freely explore the village again after one more cutscene.
3	Before heading through the light, explore the town first to open all the treasure chests that you can find. Make sure not to miss the Boar and Champion's Orbs since they can only be obtained through monster drops or bought for 200k Potch respectively.
4	When you're ready, go towards the light to get back to the Cave of the Past. Once you're back, head to where the Celestial Sword was to claim it after a short cutscene. Since there's nothing left to do here, you can use an Escape Talisman to leave the dungeon.
5	Before going to the Warriors' Village, go back inside Qlon to recruit Hugo by giving him the Illustrated War Scroll. ▶︎ How to Recruit Hugo
6	After that, you're free to go back to the Warriors' Village. However, you'll want to take a quick detour first to the item shop so that you can recruit Window by giving him the Window Orb. ▶︎ How to Recruit Window
7	Once that's done, approach Zorak in the center of the village, then head south to Neclord's Castle afterwards.

Neclord's Castle

2	Approach the castle doors and talk to Zorak for a cutscene where Hix joins you. Once that's over, you'll be inside Neclord's Castle. ▶︎ Neclord's Castle Map Guide
3	Before you proceed, it's recommended to leave the castle and return to your headquarters so that you can upgrade HIx' equipment. If you want to save money, you only need to purchase weapon upgrades, a chest piece, and a shield since you can find a helmet and two accessories inside Neclord's Castle.
4	As a note, Viktor will leave the party once the events at Neclord's Castle end, so make sure not to equip or bring anything important on him.
5	When you're ready, go through the castle, grabbing any treasures you may find. Also, take some time to grind some EXP while you're here.
*	There's also a save point through the door to the left in entrance room, so make sure to come here often and save. There's also a zombie in the room to the right that will give you a hint for an upcoming puzzle if you pay him. However, it's better to ignore him and save money instead.
6	Partway through the castle, you'll encounter a puzzle with four paintings. Examine them in the following order to open the path forward. 1. Middle Right - Chestnut Tree 2. Middle Left - Woman in the Early Afternoon 3. Far Right - Peasant Girl 4. Far Left - King of the Night
7	Once you're through, continue going through the dungeon and grabbing treasures until you get past the balcony area where the sky is red. Heal up and make any final preparations since you're about to face the boss of this dungeon.
8	When you're ready, head up the stairs in the middle to face Neclord. Make sure that Viktor attacks him first, otherwise, your party won't be able to deal any damage. ▶︎ Neclord Boss Guide
9	After the boss has been defeated, you can head out of the castle. As mentioned earlier, Viktor will leave the party once you exit so make sure that you clear out his inventory beforehand.
10	Once you've left the dungeon and the cutscene has ended, Tengaar will join your party in place of Viktor. From there, you're free to return to your headquarters for the next part of your journey. ▶︎ Dragon's Den to Dragon Knights' Fortress

Dragon's Den

1	After returning to your headquarters, head over to the meeting area and talk to Mathiu to start a cutscene. From there, Flik and Humphrey will join your party, and once you're done setting up the rest of your team, head out towards the Dragon's Den, located west of Antei. ▶︎ Recommended Party Setup
*	We recommend bringing Liukan with you since you'll need him to advance the story later on. However, you can just revisit your headquarters and add him to the party when he's needed to progress the plot.
*	Before going to the Dragon's Den, take a quick detour to Teien first so that you can recruit Eikei by having the Hero at level 41 or higher. ▶︎ How to Recruit Eikei and Stats
2	Once you arrive in the Dragon's Den, talk to the knight guarding the cave to learn that there are strict orders to not let anyone through. From there, head back east and go to Antei.
3	Upon entering Antei, you will notice two men arguing, talk to them and Vincent will leave the village to go to the Dragon's Den.
*	Before heading back, you'll want to recruit some more characters while you're here. The easiest one to recruit is Qlon, by the entrance, since you just need to talk to him for him to join. ▶︎ How to Recruit Qlon

4	Once you're done, head back to the Dragon's Den and talk to Vincent to learn about a secret entrance. When you're ready, interact with the stone to enter the cave. You can only go through the cave once so make sure to grab everything inside. ▶︎ Dragon's Den Map Guide
5	Towards the end of the cave, you'll encounter Milia and Futch. From there, head west through the cave to reach the Dragon Knights' Fortress.

Dragon Knights' Fortress

*	Before entering the fortress' doors, go to the back right of the building to recruit Fuma, who's hiding in the shadows. ▶︎ How to Recruit Fuma and Stats
*	From there, go inside and speak with Kreutz in the top left part of the first floor to recruit him. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kreutz and Stats
1	Once you've got those two recruited, head up to the second floor to trigger a cutscene. At this point, you'll need Liukan to progress the story, so add him to your party if you haven't done so already. Also, make sure to open the chest and examine the bookshelves at the back to get an Old Book. ▶︎ Dragon Knights' Fortress Guide
2	After talking to Joshua again with Liukan in your party, he'll be swapped out for Milia. From there, you'll be tasked with going to Seek Valley. ▶︎ How to Recruit Milia and Stats
3	Before heading back to the fortress to fly over to Seek Valley, go to your headquarters first to properly equip your new party member. While you're here, make sure you have the Flowing Rune equipped on someone for healing, as well as an Earth Rune since the upcoming boss is weak to that element.

Seek Valley

1	When you arrive at Seek Valley, just follow the road forward, grabbing any treasures you find along the way. Partway through, you'll encounter an area with three branching paths. To the right, you'll find a blacksmith building where Mace resides, but you can't recruit him yet so just keep his location in mind for now. ▶︎ Seek Valley Map Guide
2	Continue along the path until you encounter the boss of this area, the Crystal Core. The fight only begins when you walk up to it so make sure you're prepared beforehand. ▶︎ Crystal Core Boss Guide
3	After defeating the boss, make a save and continue deeper into Seek Valley. Once you reach the end, a cutscene will start and you'll now be able to use the Soul Eater Rune's level 4 spell. As a note, your dialogue choices don't matter and the outcome will always be the same.
4	Return to the second floor of the Dragon Knights' Fortress and speak to Joshua to trigger an event where you'll control Futch.
5	Head south and interact with the flower on the right. Afterwards, head back to your dragon, Black, to return to the fortress.
6	When you get back to the fortress, and the cutscene is over, Joshua and Futch will both join your army. Once that's done, you can head back to your headquarters for the next part of your journey.

Northern Checkpoint

1	Once you return to your headquarters, you will find Krin and Kasumi speaking by the elevator entrance. After that's done, you can take the elevator up to your meeting area.
2	Speak to Mathiu to start a cutscene, and once that's done, head back to your room to rest for the night. Before going to bed, you'll be approached by Mathiu and he'll ask you to accept his request.
3	When you wake up the next day, speak to Mathiu one more time to start his military training drills. In reality, the training drills are actually a surprise assault on the Northern Checkpoint. This gives a massive advantage to your army, and you can easily wipe the enemy forces thanks to your superior numbers. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide
4	After winning, choose to spare Griffith, recruiting him and his troops to your cause. ▶︎ How to Recruit Griffith and Stats
5	Once that's done, you'll be back in your headquarters, with your next task being to infiltrate Moravia Castle with Kasumi, Krin, and three other party members.
*	Before going to Moravia Castle, go back to the Northern Checkpoint so that you can grab the Old Book inside the chest. ▶︎ Northern Checkpoint Guide
*	You'll also want to take a detour to Kalekka so you can speak to Leon in one of the southern houses. Make sure to do this now so that you can recruit him after the events at Moravia Castle.

Moravia Castle

1	When you're ready, head north from the Northern Checkpoint to reach Moravia Castle. ▶︎ Moravia Map Guide
2	Enter the castle and talk to the soldier in the top right to rest and save. From there, you can start going through the castle and grabbing any treasure chests you can find.
3	Once you reach the end, you'll start a cutscene where Viktor and Warren are rescued. You'll also encounter Vincent and a treasure chest up here, but you can't interact with them yet since you'll be teleported back downstairs.
4	After you've rescued your allies, you'll meet General Kasim, who'll surrender and join your army. From there, you'll be teleported back outside of the castle. ▶︎ How to Recruit Kasim Hazil and Stats
5	Now that you have control of your character again, you can head back up to the jail cell to open the treasure chest and rescue Vincent. ▶︎ How to Recruit Vincent
*	Instead of teleporting straight back to your headquarters, go back to the Northern Checkpoint to meet Maximillian and Sancho, who will request to join the Liberation Army. Once that's done, you're free to head back to your headquarters

Shasarazade

1	Speak to Mathiu in the meeting room of your headquarters, and choose to advance on Shasarazade. Afterwards, retire to your bedroom. If you have not yet recruited Leon, this is your last chance to do so, as he cannot be recruited after you go to sleep.
2	The next day, head down to the docks to see the boats for your invasion. When you're ready, give Mathiu the command to start the Army Battle. As usual, use your Ninjas and Thieves to learn the enemy's next move so that you can decisively win the battle with the correct strategies. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide
3	After the battle has been won, you'll now be outside the fortress. Viktor will join you for this part of the story, and you must select 4 more members to help you infiltrate Shasarazade. ▶︎ Best Party and Team Composition
*	Before entering, you can take the boat back to your headquarters to purchase upgrades and items for the upcoming boss battles.
*	Since you'll want to upgrade your equipment, form a party with Maas, Meese, Moose, and Mose so that you can speak to and recruit Mace in Seek Valley. After Mace joins, you can head back to your headquarters and max out your weapons at level 16. However, you can't teleport there directly and you'll need to take the dragon in the Dragon Knights' Fortress to reach the valley. ▶︎ How to Recruit Mace and Stats
*	It's also recommended to have Sacrificial Buddhas on all of your party members going forward. If you don't have any, you can purchase them at your headquarters' item shop. ▶︎ How to Get Sacrificial Buddha
4	When you're ready, head back to Shasarazade, and save at the save point near the boat. From there, double-check your party and equipment, before entering the fortress. ▶︎ Shasarazade Map Guide
5	While exploring the dungeon and opening treasure chests, keep in mind that you'll need to leave by coming back the way you came. This essentially makes the dungeon twice as long, so make sure to preserve your resources.
6	At the end of the dungeon, you'll encounter a Shell Venus that's blocking your path. Defeat it so that you can continue with your quest. Try not to use up all your spells in this fight since you'll face one more boss after this one. ▶︎ Shell Venus Boss Guide
7	After defeating the boss, and the cutscene has ended, open the chest and make your way back to the entrance. Before you approach the staircase, make sure your party is healed up since you'll be confronted by Sonya as you try to leave. ▶︎ Sonya Shulen Boss Guide
8	Once Sonya's been defeated, head outside so that you can return to your headquarters. As a note, you can find Sonya locked up in the basement. Speak with her and ask her to join your side so that you can recruit her. ▶︎ How to Recruit Sonya Shulen and Stats
*	Before proceeding with the story, take a detour to recruit any remaining characters. Also, make a save first just in case you accidentally start the next part of the story.
*	First off, go to Rikon's inn to recruit Clive. However, he appears randomly and you may need to leave and come back multiple times until he spawns. ▶︎ How to Recruit Clive and Stats
*	Next, head back to the Cave of the Past, behind Qlon Temple, so that you can recruit Crowley past a hidden path in the cave. ▶︎ How to Recruit Crowley and Stats

Gregminster Castle

1	When you're ready, speak to Mathiu and a special cutscene will play provided all 108 characters are recruited and no one died during the previous battles. Once that's done, all that's left to do now is start the final charge into Gregminster Castle.
2	After a cutscene, the final army battle will begin. Again, use your Ninjas and Thieves like before so that you can select advantageous commands. ▶︎ Army Battle Guide
3	After winning the battle, you can now infiltrate Gregminster with Viktor, Flik, and three other party members. Make sure that their equipment is maxed out since you're about to enter the final dungeon of the game. 4	When you're ready, proceed to the entrance of Gregminster Castle, where Ain Gide will try to prevent you from going further. Defeat him so that you can unlock the way forward. ▶︎ Ain Gide Boss Guide
*	Once you've defeated him, it's recommended to go back to your headquarters first so that you can save and heal your party members. It's also a good idea to stock up on healing items since you'll face a lot of resistance on the way to the final boss. As a note, a lot of the soldiers that you'll face have a good chance of dropping Mega Medicines, so you don't need to fill your inventory with healing items since you'll likely get them as a drop.
5	When you're ready, head inside the castle and fight a ton of enemies on your way to the top. Don't forget to open the chests in here as well since they contain powerful armour pieces. ▶︎ Gregminster Castle Map Guide
6	Before the final boss, there will be a save point that you can use. Make any final preparations and head through the final rooms of the castle to face the final boss. This is your last chance to make any changes, so leave the castle first if you still need to upgrade your armour or weapons, equip the best runes possible, or grind EXP to level up.

If you're struggling to beat enemies, then you may need to consider levelling up first. The best way to do this is by going out and defeating random enemies and going back to an Inn to heal whenever necessary.

Purchase Weapon and Armour Upgrades

Even though you can get good equipment pieces from dungeons and enemy drops, you'll still want to purchase armor upgrades whenever you visit a new town if you have extra Potch. This way, you won't have any problems clearing any dungeons and enemies you encounter.

Also, make sure that you upgrade weapons at a blacksmith when you can so that your damage output keeps up with your defenses.
