After this boss, you'll still have to face Sonya before leaving the dungeon. Keep this in mind and save your spell slots, especially from the Flowing and Soul Eater Runes, so that you don't run out of steam during the next boss.

Use Physical, Earth, and Lightning

To quickly take this boss down, you'll want to use strong physical attackers, like Viktor and Valeria, as well as spells from the Lightning and Mother Earth Runes to exploit its weaknesses.

Even though you want to save spell slots for the next boss, Sonya resists the five major elements. Feel free to spam spells that this boss is weak to so that you can kill it quickly before you need to spend more resources to heal.

Only Use AoE Heals When Necessary

Shell Venus has two attacks, a single target one and a party-wide attack. Whenever it only hits a single party member, using Mega Medicine on the damaged party member will be enough.

It's best to only use your AoE heals whenever your entire party gets low so that you have enough resources for the upcoming Sonya fight.

If you're having a hard time defeating the Shell Venus, level up your party more and upgrade your weapons, especially for your physical attackers. Make sure you've recruited Mace so that you can upgrade your weapons to Level 16.
