Equipping the Prosperity Rune allows the party to receive double the Potch after defeating an enemy.
When going for a grinding session, make sure to equip this rune to double your money gained after a battle.
How to Get Prosperity Rune and Effects
Players can receive a Prosperity Rune in Sarady, given by one of the villagers in the town. Keep in mind that you must speak to this villager without Ted or else this interaction will not be available anymore.
These runes are also dropped by Sirens around the Kalekka.
Once recruited from Kaku, Gaspar can be found in the gambling hall in your Headquarters' first floor, and will host the Chinchirorin dice minigame.
With luck and frequent saving, Gaspar can be a particularly profitable avenue for Potch gains because he allows you to double your last bet every time you win. Thus you can get large amounts of money from short winning streaks.
How to Unlock the Chinchirorin Game
Marco can be found near an Inn in Rockland and you can play his coin game, also known as the cup game, to earn cash early on. Later in the story Marco can be found in Warriors' Village, where he can be recruited and host coin games at your Headquarters.
Late in the game, high-level areas, like Seek Valley and the final dungeon in Gregminster, have large numbers of relatively easy-to-defeat enemies that award large amounts of Potch and have save points nearby.
These are good places to spend time battling enemies for Potch. Equip the Prosperity Rune to double the potch you receive.
Gregminster Castle Map Guide and Collectible Locations
Players can purchase items in different shops to upgrade gear and buy items for the road.
In later areas of the game, the prices for armor and items can rise greatly, increasing the need for Potch.
Weapon upgrades via the blacksmith are one of the biggest cost centers in Suikoden 1 HD Remaster. Upgrading all the best characters' weapons to the maximum level of 16 will take hundreds of thousands of Potch.
Blacksmith Guide: How to Unlock and Use
In combat, players can use money to Bribe enemies and guarantee escape from a battle. A normal escape command is available for players to use but it is not guaranteed that the party will be able to escape.
This command is not available to use during boss battles, and is only usable on regular enemies.
