7 Different Colors of Paint

The 7 paint colors in Suikoden 1 are used to complete Ivanov's Mural, which he will begin painting after you recruit him. Some of these paint colors are found in treasure chests throughout the game, while others have to be bought from Item Shops at a cost of 500 potch each.

What are Paints For?

Offer to Ivanov for his Mural

Ivanov is a painter recruited by the player at Scarleticia Castle. Once recruited, he will move to Toran Lake Castle, where he will start painting his mural.

Binoculars Reward After Finishing His Mural

Once Ivanov completes his mural, he will give the player his Binoculars. These Binoculars allow the player to change the camera angle during battles.

Completing Ivanov's painting is required to obtain the A Painter for the Ages Trophy and Achievement. The trophy should unlock once you collect all the required paint colors and submit them to Ivanov, with him showing you the completed painting.
