In the earliest section of Chapter 1, you have a chance to obtain a Prosperity Orb or Fortune Orb by visiting the town of Sarady much earlier than you normally would. To get there, you will need to pass through Mt. Tigerwolf, an area that is very dangerous for your early-game level. To get the Prosperity Orb, you must visit Sarady with only Ted in your party at the start of the game. To get the Fortune Orb, you must visit Sarady alone. You may only choose one orb. |

1 | ![]() When you first arrive at home in Gregminster after leaving the castle, do not go to upstairs. Instead, leave the house and save at the Inn. If you want a Prosperity Rune, return home, add Ted to your party upstairs (but don't go to your room!), and then leave Gregminster. If you want a Fortune Rune, leave Gregminster after saving at the Inn. |
2 | ![]() Walk around on the world map near Gregminster and defeat Furballs and Crows until you get to Level 5 or 6. Because many of the enemies here like Wild Boars and Soldier Ants can wipe your party in a single turn, save frequently at the Inn and use it to keep your HP high. |

![]() If you need money, you can go east from Gregminster to Rockland and play Marco's coin game to increase your funds (make sure to save before playing). If you have money from gambling, or if you pre-ordered the game and claimed the DLC funds, you can visit Lenankamp to the south of Gregminster buy new armor at the Armor Shop and upgrade weapons to Level 5 at the Blacksmith. ▶︎ Marco's Coin Game Guide |
4 | ![]() After saving, battle some more until Level 8-10, then cross the bridge to the northwest of Lenankamp and visit Mt. Tigerwolf on the other side. Even if you and/or Ted are leveled up, the enemies here can still wipe your party easily. Try to Flee, Let Go, or even Bribe as much as you can to avoid battles. Don't bother picking up the treasure chests, as you do not have the inventory space to carry the items. You can pick these up later in Chapter 2. Follow the path up Mt. Tigerwolf and get to Sarady. ▶︎ Mt. Tigerwolf Map Guide and Collectible Locations |
5 | ![]() Once in Sarady, save at the Inn, then visit the small house in the northeast and speak to the man inside. If you arrived at Sarady alone, he will give you a Fortune Orb. If you arrived with Ted, he will give you a Prosperity Orb. |
6 | ![]() Save at the Sarady Inn, then run back down Mt. Tigerwolf, return to Gregminster, and continue with the game as normal. |
The Prosperity Orb can be found as a rare drop from the Pseudo-Siren enemy found in random battles near the town of Kirov.
Simply walk around on the world map near Kirov and encounter these foes in random battles. There is a chance that the Prosperity Orb will drop after you win.

The Prosperity Rune can be equipped on any of the 66 Combat Characters who do not have permanently-attached Runes.
List of All Characters and Recruit Conditions
You should equip the Prosperity Rune to a character you'll likely be bringing with you almost all the time. If you opted to start a new game with the free Prosperity Orb, you can equip it to Gremio since he'll be staying with you for a long time.
Since the Prosperity Rune has no combat benefits, it's best attached to a character that doesn't rely on Runes for their damage output. Physical powerhouses like Viktor, Pesmerga, or Eikei (if you remove his Double-Jab Rune) are good candidates to hold a Prosperity Rune.
