You can change your equipment by opening the main menu and selecting the gear you wish to equip to your character in Suikoden 1 HD Remaster. Read on to learn more tips on changing your equipment and choosing the right gear setup for all characters in the game.

You can change equipment by pressing the menu button, then heading over to the Equipments tab and selecting a character from your party to switch the equipment with.
Equipment in Suikoden 1 is divided into different categories, each corresponding to a specific part of the body. For example, headgear includes two types: Helmets and Hats.
Each character has specific equipment types they can use, so their options may vary depending on their class or role in the party.
Some characters, like Luc and Meg, have certain body parts with fixed equipment that cannot be replaced.
These unique restrictions are part of their character design, so be mindful of their limitations when planning your party setup.

The images above show the Circlet as something that a female character, like Cleo, can equip. However, the same Circlet cannot be equipped by the the MC, a male character.
Certain items in Suikoden 1 have gender-specific restrictions. For example, the Emblem accessory is exclusive to male characters, while the Circlet accessory is exclusive to female characters.
Keep these limitations in mind when choosing equipment to use on your party members.
