Players can select Save at an Inn inside a city or your home base. If your party has been wiped out in combat, you will restart from your last save point so save frequently as to not lose progress!

Save at a Savepoint

Savepoints also exist in certain locations outside the inn. Boss areas and big events will usually provide a savepoint for players before they encounter a particularly tough encounter.

Keep an eye out in dungeons before a big boss room to save your progress!

Up to 16 Save Data Slots

Suikoden 1 provides up to 16 save data slots for players who prefer saving over several slots over just one. When players reached the max limit of saves, they can opt to overwrite one of their saves.
