To Dash in Suikoden I, hold any of the designated Dash buttons while moving in a chosen direction with the D-pad or the analog stick. Each platform offers three different buttons for dashing, so you can press whichever feels most comfortable.

You can also change the control scheme in the Controls menu, which adjusts the face button commands based on your preference. However, note that certain locations may restrict your movement to walking.
