Infinite Damage Build Boss Powers Makes Servers Lag

Image

Diablo 4’s latest season features new seasonal boss powers, and when done properly, can produce an infinite damage build, which also makes servers slow down. YouTuber Macrobioboi uploaded a video on May 9 that showcased this power build, which demolishes a room full of enemies using the right boss powers and a Legendary Aspect.

For this to work, players need to equip the Vampiric Curse Legendary Aspect on their gear, which allows them to afflict a Vulnerable status effect on enemies. This gives a boost on their damage, but this particular Aspect makes Vulnerable last until they die.

Meanwhile, the Flesh Reaper's Disruption boss power stuns the enemy but removes Vulnerable. Due to Vampiric Curse’s effect, this does not happen and the stun occurs over and over. To complete the build, Varshan's Life Steal boss power deals big damage every time a boss power is activated.

With all of these combined, the game calculates so many instances of this event which makes the servers lag. As seen in wudijo’s YouTube video, the screen is filled with a staggering amount of skills and abilities, rendering enemies eternally stunned in place. He stated, "There are a lot of calculations going on, it's very understandable that this is a laggy build."

Blizzard Entertainment has yet to respond to this resource-intensive build, so players can still try defeating as many enemies as they can, with the sacrifice of making the game lag.

Worrying Prices with Berserk Collab

In other news, Diablo 4 is currently having a collaboration with iconic manga Berserk. This crossover event brings popular cosmetics and items from Berserk to Diablo 4. However, fans are wary if they should purchase these sets as they come with a hefty price.

Not all cosmetics require purchase as players can earn Behelits by playing the game, and spend them on the free Berserk Reliquary. The free cosmetics available are the following:

 ● Hawks Destiny Back Trophy
 ● Skull Knight’s Heraldry Mount Armor
 ● Brand of Sacrifice Marking
 ● Foretold Eclipse Headstone
 ● Od of the Berserker Emblem

Although these rewards look enticing, the real essence of the collaboration is felt through their paid sets which can be purchased using Diablo 4’s premium currency. These include classic armors and sets from Berserk and more.

 ● The Berserker Armor, Barbarian - 2,800 Platinum
 ● The Hawk of Light, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
 ● The Struggler, Rogue - 2,800 Platinum
 ● The Skull Knight, Necromancer - 2,800 Platinum
 ● The Schnoz, Pet Bundle - 2,800 Platinum
 ● Warhorse of the Hawk, Mount and Mount Armor - 2,500 Platinum

Each premium skin requires the player to spend around $28, which is basically half the price of the base game. Moreover, getting everything totals to $150 or 15,000 Platinum bundle with free 3,500 Platinum.

Despite the pricing, this isn’t shocking as Diablo 4 also followed the same model with its previous collaboration with World of Warcraft. Unfortunately, this may be a telling sign on future collaborations with other IPs and fans would need to break the bank to enjoy the game’s crossover events.

Regardless, many are thinking twice before buying these Berserk sets as even though the quality is top-notch, the hefty price is what’s bothering them.
