Hogwarts Legacy's first major Patch was released on February 14, 2023. Learn more about some major bug fixes for the game, and the players' reception towards the first patch.
Xbox and PC Hogwarts Legacy Major Patch
Overall Gameplay Performance Patch for Hogwarts Legacy
The February 14th Patch addressed the overall stability and performance of the game. This includes enhancements to the online connection.
Other bugs like substantial login difficulties that annoy players even before they begin playing the game, the Owl mail failing to initiate the subsequent task, and NPCs crashing during respawn.
This patch also included improvements to the user interface and the cinematics. Save game problems, such as restarting a previous save after rewriting the final autosave slot only to realize you are now unable to initiate a dialogue with an NPC, were also addressed.
The PC patch improved compatibility for the Switch Pro Controller and made frame creation possible even when DLSS is turned off.

PS5's Patch Delayed Till Next Week
According to a Tweet from WB Games Avalanche, an unanticipated problem kept them from releasing the PS5 patch on the same day as Xbox Series X and PC players. They planned to release the patch for PS5 players the following week.
This also addresses the Collector's Edition
Trophy fix.
Players Not Impressed With Improvements
WB Games Avalanche's Tweet was bombarded with unimpressed players with more bug problems and requests for additional features in the game. Most of these were redirected to the Hogwarts Legacy Bug Reporting page.
Since this is the first patch, more updates and bug fixes may be on the way. WB Games Avalanche hopes for continued patience from the players and their cooperation in reporting bugs they see in-game.
