 ⚫︎ Naked Rain has announced that Ananta—previously known by its codename Project Mugen—will hold its first offline Technical Test in Hangzhou, China, starting January 3, 2025. Alongside this, the studio has launched Vanguard Recruitment, a new initiative designed to increase players’ chances of participating in future tests. Interested players can now sign up to obtain Vanguard status.

The newly rebranded urban open-world RPG promises a bold, rule-breaking vibe, with more updates and perks to be shared on the game’s new official account, @Ananta_EN. Fans are encouraged to mark their calendars for December 5, when a major reveal is set to take place.

 ⚫︎ Project Mugen, the urban open-world RPG from publisher NetEase and developer Naked Rain, made a surprise debut last August and has remained relatively quiet since. An updated trailer released last month reignited interest, especially with its intriguing blend of Genshin Impact-style visuals and Grand Theft Auto-inspired city gameplay. While details on the release date remain scarce, anticipation continues to build as fans look forward to learning more about how the game actually plays.

 ⚫︎ NetEase and Thunder Fire Studio’s developer Naked Rain have released the first promotional video for their upcoming open-world RPG, Project Mugen. Described as a love letter to urban fantasies by Thunder Fire Studio’s senior marketing director Riten Huang, the game aims to blend familiarity with mystery in a vibrant city setting. We wanted to create a world that players could relate to, yet find enough mysteries to keep them coming back, Huang stated. The city is alive, and every player will have their unique journey through it.
