Elden Ring Nightreign Character Reveals

The Axe-Swinging Raider

Elden Ring Nightreign is ramping up to its release date and has revealed several characters that players can enjoy in FromSoftware’s upcoming multiplayer survival game. In a Twitter (X) post on April 15, FromSoftware unveiled their latest character trailer for Raider, an aging Viking wielding an axe and slugging it to anyone who opposes him.

Based on the trailer, Raider deals heavy attacks against foes, even taking on a dragon with one blow all alone. He can also summon a large block of monolith, offering it as a platform for his allies and himself. This aids long-range characters as it can make it difficult for enemies to reach them at that height, and can give Raider a chance to strike opponents from the skies.

There are no specific details given in the trailer regarding his attacks and abilities. Players can now pre-order Nightreign to receive a bonus gesture in-game. To know more about the pre-orders and DLCs the game offers, check out our article below!

The Stealth Specialist Duchess

Earlier last week, FromSoftware also announced on Twitter (X) another character named Duchess. This character specializes in stealth and uses daggers as her weapon of choice. Although players are already aware of this character since she was available during the game’s network test, her official character gameplay reveal trailer was just recently showcased.

Unlike the reveal trailer for Raider, the developers included some details about Duchess’ abilities. Her passive ability Magnificent allows her to dodge and attack swiftly with reduced stamina cost. Meanwhile, her skill Restage lets her reapply the last few seconds of team damage to enemies. Finally, her ultimate art Finale makes herself and nearby allies invisible to enemies, allowing them to move undetected.

So far, FromSoftware has revealed 6 of the 8 playable characters known as Nightfarers. These include Wylder, an all-around versatile warrior, Guardian, a heavily-armored hawk-headed tank, Recluse, who has expertise in long-ranged sorcery, and Ironeye, a defense-piercing archer.

Fans can expect 2 more reveals to come in the following weeks as Nightreign inches closer to its release date. Elden Ring Nightreign is set to be released on May 30, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below!
