Wilson acknowledged that while he was uncertain about the outcome of the Activision-Microsoft deal, EA would remain Microsoft's primary partner and considered themselves the leading publisher on the platform. He emphasized that the deal's completion or failure would not significantly impact EA's overall standing, as they believed they possessed the necessary scale to thrive in the industry.

Expanding on his thoughts, Wilson expressed a belief that industry consolidation would occur in the long term, and EA aspired to have the size and influence to actively participate in that process. However, he clarified that their current stance remained indifferent to the outcome of the Microsoft-Activision deal. Regardless of its outcome, EA remained committed to maintaining their position as the top publisher on the Microsoft platform, solidifying their ongoing partnership.
