Little has been revealed about the core gameplay of TMNT: The Last Ronin, aside from its stated inspiration from God of War (2018).

Based on this, players can likely expect an over-the-shoulder combat system centered around combos and battling waves of enemies, with mechanics that allow switching between the signature weapons of the four turtles.

TMNT: The Last Ronin Story Plot

TMNT: The Last Ronin's story will be centered around The Last Ronin, or the last surviving brother of the four who studied under Master Splinter as he works to avenge the death of his brothers and carry on their legacy to a new generation of turtles.

It is currently uncertain to what extent the game will follow the graphic novel by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz, but promotional material have been mostly faithful to the tone and narrative of the comic.
