Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced differently in Japan and Worldwide. Read on to learn more about the pricing of the Switch 2 for different versions.
Switch 2 Japan Price Lower Than Global Version
Switch 2 Will Have 2 Language System Versions
Nintendo Switch 2 will be priced differently in Japan and Worldwide. The new gaming system will have 2 versions: a Japanese-language system (Japan only), and a Multi-Language System. The Japanese version will be priced at around $330, while the Multi-Language System version will be priced at $449.99, having over $100 difference. The price difference can be attributed to how weak the yen is compared to the USD, which discourages tourists from purchasing supplies in Japan.
Furthermore, those residing in Japan can still purchase the multi-language system version. However, the Japanese-language system version would be exclusively sold in Japan, and only Nintendo Accounts with Country/Region set to Japan can be linked. Additionally, the only supported language for this version would be Japanese, and only software that is available on the Nintendo eShop is software for the Japanese region.
Nintendo encourages its fans who wish to use Switch 2 in other languages to buy the Multi-Language System version. More information about the Multi-Language System version will be revealed on April 4.
