Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Gameplay
Much like Trails Through Daybreak and Trails Through Daybreak 2, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter introduces a dual battle system that integrates "Field Action" and "Command Battle Modes." This system allows players to switch seamlessly between real-time and turn-based combat.
In Field Action mode, players can interact directly with the enemies in the environment, initiating encounters and gaining tactical advantages before battles commence. Upon entering combat, the game transitions to the turn-based Command Battle mode, where players manage character actions like movement, standard attacks, Arts, and Crafts. Each character possesses unique Crafts—special abilities that consume a mana-like resource called Craft Points (CP)—and can harness Arts, which are magical attacks or support skills that consume Energy Points.
Characters unlock signature techniques known as Super Crafts (S-Crafts) as they progress. These powerful abilities demand a significant amount of CP, typically half of a character’s maximum capacity (200CP). CP, however, can be replenished by striking foes.
Character progression is managed through the Orbment system, which allows customization of abilities and attributes. Players equip quartz to their characters’ orbments, granting them access to various Arts and stat enhancements.
Moreover, exploration involves traversing various environments and interacting with non-playable characters to undertake quests. As this is a remake, the game features a detailed world with towns, dungeons, and open fields now rendered in 3D.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Story
As a remake of the first game in the Trails sub-series, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will closely follow the original's story. Estelle and Joshua Bright are two siblings training to become senior Bracers in the peaceful kingdom of Liberl. Driven by the disappearance of their father, they embark on a journey across the kingdom, from the quaint village of Rolent to the bustling capital of Grancel.
In their journey, they will encounter a series of challenges, from minor thefts to a vast conspiracy involving a mysterious black orbment. As they explore diverse landscapes and encounter a colorful cast of characters, Estelle and Joshua must use their skills and wits to unravel the mysteries surrounding their father's disappearance and protect Liberl from impending danger.
