Saros Gameplay
Saros has yet to reveal gameplay footage, but has been stated to be a third-person action game that will be the evolution of the studio's previous game, Returnal. Returnal was a story-driven horror sci-fi roguelite which featured changing weapons, upgrades, and environments to deliver unique experiences per ‘run.’ According to the developers, Saros will be departing from the ever-changing and resetting mechanics, and will instead feature permanent resources, weapons, armors, and upgrades to allow players to tackle the challenges that could defeat them throughout their adventures.
Saros Story
Saros centers around the protagonist Arjun Devraj, a Soltari Enforcer played by Hollywood actor Rahul Kohli. Arjun is on an isolated off-world colony on the planet of Carsosa that is experiencing a mysterious and ominous eclipse. He ventures throughout the barren landscapes in search of a mysterious person he’s looking for.
The story is stated to be an emotional character study that dives deep into the concept of the sacrifices one must make to create a new future for oneself and for others.
