Princess Zelda is transported back in time to an era where the kingdom is on the brink of war. In this period, she allies with King Rauru, one of the last remaining Zonai, his sister Mineru, and his wife Sonia to confront the rising threat of Ganondorf, who seeks to plunge Hyrule into darkness.

Ultimately, as evidenced by Tears of the Kingdom, their combined efforts will lead to the sealing of Ganondorf, setting the stage for the events that follow in Hyrule’s storied timeline.
