BLEACH Rebirth of Souls Gameplay
Gameplay Overview
Players can select from a roster of BLEACH characters, including Ichigo, Rukia, and Aizen, each with unique abilities and sword techniques. The game is a 3D one-on-one arena fighter that can be played in single-player, online, or split-screen modes. The objective is to reduce the opponent’s Reishi and Konpaku (health bar) through continuous attacks, with other options to defend, jump, and glide through the arena. Players can execute combos to deal additional damage and accumulate Fighting Spirit to enter an Awakening state which boosts stats and alters certain character actions.
During an awakening, Kikon Channel is triggered by accumulating increased fighting spirit. This allows your character to unleash powerful Kikon Moves—abilities that deal devastating damage and can even counter enemy actions.
Though the stages haven't been confirmed as of writing, fans can see familiar landmarks that they will be able to fight in, such as the Seireitei. The combat is based on a strategic three-way deadlock system of Attack, Breaker, and Guard, requiring players to find and exploit openings in their opponent's defense.
Each character's sword varies in range, power, and speed, requiring players to master their unique attributes and learn to effectively manage distances in combat.
## Quick Attack Combo and Flash Attack Combo
In BLEACH: Rebirth of Souls, a single strike can spell defeat for your opponent. Plauyers can change the situation dramatically with the swing of their blade.
Quick Attack Combo makes your character do rapid strikes and Flash Attack Combo does devestating blows.
Reverse Actions
Reverse Actions provide powerful techniques that consume your gauge when executed:
⚫︎ Chain Reverse: A potent move that seamlessly integrates into active combos, allowing you to extend your attacks.
⚫︎ Burst Reverse: A counterattack that interrupts your opponent's moves and knocks them back.
⚫︎ Soul Reverse: Gradually regenerates your Reishi (health gauge) over time and enhances your Step maneuver for greater mobility.
Follow Up Hoho
Your combos can be extended when you do Follow-up Hoho.
Counter
Counter allows you to evade attacks and strike your opponents from behind.
Unique Abilities
In BLEACH Rebirth of Souls, characters are equipped with distinct abilities that showcase their unique fighting styles:
⚫︎ Unique Systems: These abilities are specific to certain characters, particularly those originating from the World of the Living. They don’t align with traditional categories and highlight the individuality of characters like Ichigo in his Shikai state or Kisuke Urahara.
⚫︎ Signature Moves: Each character has a defining move that reflects their iconic fighting style. These techniques are considered their ultimate skills and serve as standout abilities during combat and consume gauge.
⚫︎ Spiritual Pressure Abilities: These are high-impact moves fueled by a character’s Spiritual Power. Players must manage a special energy bar to execute these techniques, with most characters having two variations to unleash in battle.

BLEACH Rebirth of Souls Plot
The game’s story mode takes players through the journey of BLEACH, starting with Ichigo Kurosaki’s rise as a Substitute Soul Reaper in the Substitute Soul Reaper Arc and culminating in the epic final battle against Sosuke Aizen in the Arrancar Arc.
Additionally, the game features a Secret Story Mode, offering a deeper look into pivotal moments that shaped the lives and personalities of key characters.
Playable Characters
BLEACH Rebirth of Souls currently has 31 playable characters, with potentially more to be revealed as the launch date draws near.
Modes
The game features multiple modes where players can dive into:
⚫︎ Secret Story Mode - The Secret Story mode lets players experience the main story from each character’s perspective, offering new never before seen POVs. Side episodes show daily life between battles. Follow Ichigo Kurosaki’s journey from the Substitute Soul Reaper arc to the end of the Arrancar arc.
⚫︎ Battle Mode - Battle Mode includes online, offline, and story mode which has 3 difficulty levels.
⚫︎ Mission Mode - Mission Mode has players test their skills by doing specific objective and goals.
Urahara Shop
The Urahara Shop allows you to get customizable items like Konpaku Certificates and Stickers that you can display during Online Play.
