All in Abyss: Judge the Fake Gameplay
All in abyss: Judge the Fake is an adventure RPG that centers its gameplay around one-on-one Texas Hold’em poker matches. Players engage in these duels with the objective of reducing their opponent’s chip count to zero.
Standard Texas Hold’em rules are used here. Each player receives two private cards (hole cards), and then five community cards are dealt face-up in three stages: the "flop" (three cards), the "turn" (one card), and the "river" (one card). Players aim to create the best possible five-card poker hand using any combination of their hole cards and the community cards. Betting occurs after each stage, with players having the options to check, bet, call, raise, or fold.
However, the game differs in that its protagonist, Asuha Senahara, possesses various skills that can help turn give her an advantage. These skills allow players to manipulate the flow of the game by limiting the opponent’s actions, gaining insights into their hands, and more. Moreover, a critical gameplay feature is the All-In command, which enables players to wager all their chips at once.
Beyond the poker table, players can also explore The City, a central hub within the game. This offers opportunities to gather information, challenge other gamblers to earn more in-game currency, and uncover evidence of cheating among The Witches.
Confrontations with the Witches serve as boss battles in each chapter. These foes are adept at poker and often employ fraudulent tactics to maintain their dominance. Successfully revealing their deceit, however, allows players to challenge them fairly.
All in Abyss: Judge the Fake Story
All in Abyss: Judge the Fake follows Asuha Senahara, a self-proclaimed genius gambler. Her confidence and prowess have led her to seek out new challenges in The City, a ward where gambling dictates the social and economic order. This district is under the dominion of the Witches, a group of gamblers who maintain their authority through a combination of skill and deceit.
Eager to prove herself, Asuha challenges one of the Witches, Ulu Amamino. Despite Asuha’s confidence and abilities, she suffers her first-ever defeat, not due to a lack of skill and unfavorable odds, but because of Ulu’s underhanded tactics. Determined then to reclaim her dignity and dismantle the regime of the Witches, Asuha resolves to challenge and expose each Witch’s fraudulent practices.
This, however, leads her to confront other foes, including Yuragi Tenraku and Lancille Kareido, both witches that stand in her way. Throughout her journey, Asuha receives assistance from Mina Nosaka, a girl who rescues her following her initial defeat.
