Will Receive a Switch 2 Upgrade on June 5, 2025
Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom will receive Nintendo Switch 2 upgrades! These upgrades come with enhanced resolution, frame rates, and HDR support. The demo showcased during the presentation shows the games running at 60fps, a far cry from the games’ performances on the original Switch.
The upgrades will be available on the same date as the Switch 2's release on June 5, 2025.

In an interview with Famitsu, Nintendo revealed that they do not have plans for a a Tears of the Kingdom/TotK DLC as their team thought Tears of the Kingdom had delivered the enjoyable experience they had hoped for.
