The First Berserker: Khazan’s New Trailer Highlights Different Boss Fights
New Gameplay Trailer Showcases Umbrella-Wielding Boss
The First Berserker: Khazan’s new gameplay trailer gave fans a sneak peek at different boss fights players will experience. During IGN Fan Fest on February 27, 2025, South Korean developer Neople shared with fans a trailer highlighting Khazan fighting an umbrella-wielding boss and two other beasts.
The umbrella-wielding boss looks to be part of the main story or at least of importance as the trailer showed a small snippet of its cutscene before the battle starts. Unfortunately, the HUD during the battle sequence was not visible so information regarding this boss is currently unavailable. However, the two other bosses were identified, which included a wolf-like beast named Shactuka, and a ram-like beast wielding a hammer and spike named Specter of Bhangau.
Possible Awakened Form
During the trailer, Khazan seemingly went into an Awakened form, changing his appearance from his typical samurai-like aesthetic. In this part of the trailer, Khazan has a red glow while wearing full body armor which gives him a slew of different attacks where he wields different weapons.
Although the game has various options for Khazan in terms of combat weapons, this new form amplifies his attacks and makes him move faster. Throughout the trailer, Khazan showed the game’s combat mechanics, which include blocking enemy projectiles, parrying, and pulling off fast-paced combos. However, his attacks seem to have little effect on the enemies as the health bar of the bosses looks to take small damage from Khazan’s attacks, highlighting the game’s Souls-like elements.
The developers have yet revealed or confirmed any information regarding this awakened form but based on the trailer, Khazan will make use of this mechanic to deal immense damage to enemies and create vast combos using different weapons.
The First Berserker: Khazan has a free demo available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC where players can experience its first 2 missions. The game is set to release on March 27, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
