 ⚫︎  The "Baldur's Village" mod that received praise from both fans and the Larian Studios boss himself is in hot water after being issued a DMCA takedown by lawyers representing the Dungeons & Dragons company Wizards of the Coast. A day later, the takedown was retracted and called it "a mistake" and that they are now fixing the issue.

 ⚫︎  Fans of Stardew Valley have dedicated themselves into implemented their beloved characters from Baldur's Gate 3 into the farming simulator, garnering the attention and approval of the head of Larian Studios, the developers of the fantasy RPG.

 ⚫︎  Days after deploying the latest and biggest patch for the Nintendo Switch version, ConcernedApe quickly noticed and fixed a bug which allowed players to easily romance villagers, among others.

 ⚫︎  Nintendo Switch players saw an update accompanied with a massive patch list of bugs that were fixed by ConcernedApe. Alongside it came a heartfelt thank you from Barone himself, celebrating the gam's 9 year release anniversary.

 ⚫︎  ConcernedApe spoke in an interview with NPR where he dicussed that he might never stop updating Stardew Valley in the forseable future, always itching to add more ideas and features he would come up with on the fly.

 ⚫︎  Players have observed that entering playful chat messages such as '"'/cheat,' '/freegold,' or '/money' which used activate cheat codes or grant money to the player in old games such as Warcraft and The Sims will prompt hidden messages from the developer.

 ⚫︎  As the new year for 2025 arrive, it was reportred that Stardew Valley has now reached over 41 units sold across all its available platforms.

2024

November 5

 ⚫︎ Stardew Valley received a recent major patch that added tons of new features and quality of life updates. However, it inadvertently caused a bug which many found amusing–chickens would go missing if left to roam around on the first day of the game. This led to the creator acknowledging the bug and giving an in-universe reason as to why it was happening before it gets fixed in a future patch. "There is a wild coyote on the farm day 1 rn."

July 23

 ⚫︎ Stardew creator firmly reassures that the game’s numerous updates and expansions in the future will never require an additional fee. He promises that "I will never charge money for a DLC or update for as long as I live."

May 20

 ⚫︎ Stardew Valley launched its own physical cookbook containing over 50 recipes from the game! The cookbook features colorful illustrations of the various foods found in-game, as well as giving accurate instructions to make them in your own kitchen!

 ⚫︎ The Stardew Valley creator took to the stage during one of the Festival of Seasons concert in America, wherein he shared his secret to making people listen to his music– "All I had to do was develop an entire video game from scratch!"

 ⚫︎ Stardew Valley had previously announced a symphonic live concert tour named ‘Festival of Seasons’ where the live orchestra will be performing the game’s soundtrack. The demand for tickets across America, Europe, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand was overwhelming, wherein they were forced to add more dates, venues, and additional shows for select regions.
