Digital Edition
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop for both Nintendo Switch ($59.99) and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 ($69.99). Currently, PC players can only add the game to their Steam wishlists.
According to Marvelous Games on their website, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will offer enhanced features such as higher resolution visuals, faster frame rates, and support for the new mouse functionality of the Joy-Con 2 controllers, particularly for village-building.
Pre-order bonuses for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma include Subaru’s Rune Factory 4 Outfit (Lest) and Kaguya’s Rune Factory 4 Outfit (Frey). These outfits will later be available for individual purchase at $2.99.

Physical Edition
Eager players can pre-order a physical copy of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma from various retailers, including Best Buy, GameStop, Amazon, Target, and Walmart, or directly through Marvelous’ official website. There are no bonuses that come with pre-ordering the game physically; we’ll update this article if this ever changes.
According to Marvelous Games, the physical Nintendo Switch version of the game is compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2. The physical Nintendo Switch 2 version contains the base Nintendo Switch game along with an Upgrade Pack to unlock the Nintendo Switch 2 enhancements.

Seasons of Love DLC
The Seasons of Love DLC for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will introduce two new marriage candidates—Pilika and Cuilang—along with additional romance scenarios and the "Marvelous Swimsuit Bundle" cosmetic DLC that includes alternative swimsuits for both protagonists and all of the game's marriage candidates.
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin DLC
A crossover DLC featuring Sakuna from Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin has been announced for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma during a livestream event on January 22, 2025. Sakuna will appear as a non-playable character players can interact with, residing in her own home where she cultivates rice and other crops. Notably, she will also be a recruitable party member.
Further information about this collaboration will be released at a later time. However, Marvelous has confirmed the DLC’s availability alongside the game’s launch.
Rune Factory 4 Outfit DLC
The "Earth Dancer" Limited Edition includes the Rune Factory 4 Outfit DLC, which allows Guardians of Azuma's marriage candidates to wear outfits inspired by those from Rune Factory 4. As of writing, only outfits for the protagonists and female marriage candidates have been revealed.
