Rise of the Ronin PC Port is No Different From PS5 Version
Team NINJA’s newest ambitious action RPG soulslike has finally been released on PC after a full year. Other than performance patches throughout the few months after it was released, there was no news about the game receiving any DLC or anything of the sort.
That being said, does the PC version offer anything new for those who’ve already played through the game’s initial release from last year?
Unoptimized and Problematic PC Port With No New Content
Unfortunately, Rise of the Ronin does not feature any additional content from its original version. It does, however, have the benefit of being able to change the game’s graphics settings to your comfort.
Additionally, it was also reported that the game is still not as optimized as it should be, as was the case with its initial release on PlayStation. This means that interested players will have to tweak multiple settings first before they can actually play the game.
Is Rise of the Ronin PC Worth It?
Wait for a Sale, But Don’t Cross Your Fingers For New Content
We at Game8 scored the original PlayStation 5 version an 80/100, highlighting its stunning visuals and aesthetics, detailed combat system, and great character creator. However, since the PC version isn’t any different from the original release, we recommend waiting for a sale if you really want to play a "samurai with guns" type of game.
Additionally, it might be safe to assume that Rise of the Ronin will not be getting any new content since Team NINJA or Koei Tecmo have not revealed or announced anything about any new DLC since its release.
