Sunborn Network, the developers behind the hit mobile game Girls’ Frontline, first announced on December 27, 2024 that they are developing a new third-person shooter game for mobile called Project NET. The game conducted its first localized initial test for SEA countries from January 9, 2025 until January 16, 2025, which included Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The Girls’ Frontline franchise first launched in 2016 for mobile as a strategy RPG gacha game, which became popular and spawned an anime series and other games as well. Recently, its sequel, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, was released on December 5, 2024. Project NET will be based on the series, so fans can expect familiar faces and aesthetics in the game.

There are no official announcements regarding a release date for Project NET. Currently, the game is available for iOS and Android based on the devices used for its initial test.
