Pokémon GO Community Day in March 2025 kicks off with Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon. Read on to learn more about this event, the upcoming Community Day events, and the Timed Research rewards for the Beloved Buddies event.
Pokemon GO March 2025 Community Days Details Revealed
Fuecoco Appears in March’s First Community Day
Pokemon GO announces that Fuecoco will be the first Pokemon featured in March’s Community Day event on February 11, 2025.
Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokemon, will frequently appear on the map while playing Pokemon GO on March 8, 2025, between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm (local time). Additionally, this Pokemon will have an increased Shiny rate during the event.
Evolving Fuecoco to Skeledirge (evolves from Crocalor) allows it to learn the Charged Attack Blast Burn. However, your Fuecoco can only learn it within a week after the event. Additionally, Skeledirge can also learn the Charged Attack Torch Song with no time restrictions.
There is also a Special Background Timed Research that awards trainers with a Fuecoco encounter with a Seasonal Special Background. Completing the Timed Research tasks also increases the Shiny rate of Fuecoco encounters even more! These tasks can be completed until March 15, 2025, at 10:00 pm (local time).
Meanwhile, trainers can also pay $2.00 to access the exclusive Community Day Special Research for this event. Aside from the usual Battle Pass and Rare Candies awarded to players, they also have access to three Fuecoco encounters, all with a Seasonal Special Background. Trainers can also purchase and gift this ticket to a friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends and above.
Pokemon GO Revealed Community Days Dates for March and Beyond
Aside from revealing Fuecoco as the featured Pokemon for March's first Community Day, Pokemon GO also revealed the dates of Community Day events from March to May.
According to its news post on February 10, 2025, there are five upcoming Community Day events between March and May, all happening on weekends. These are:

Dates tagged with Community Day Classic brings back previously featured Community Day Pokemon like Ralts, originally featured in August 2019 and was brought back in January 2025, allowing trainers to participate in past events once again. On the other hand, new Pokemon will be featured on the other dates, but Pokemon GO has yet to disclose what these upcoming Pokemon are.

Candela or Arlo: Which One to Choose?
As part of the Beloved Buddies event featuring the debut of Dhelmise, Timed Research was given to trainers. This grants them access to tasks leading to two unique paths featuring former friends and fellow Pokemon trainers: Candela and Arlo.
The first path involves increasing relationships with your Buddy Pokemon and Candela, the leader of Team Valor. Meanwhile, the second focuses on catching Pokemon and battling Arlo, one of Team GO Rocket’s leaders. Though there is no right or wrong path in this free Timed Research, their rewards vary.
Trainers will start with tasks before choosing a path, rewarding them with Ultra Balls and encounters with Remoraid and Mantine. After that, they have to choose which path to follow, offering a different set of rewards.
The Candela path rewards include Poffins (rare snack for Buddy Pokemon), Stardust, and Ultra Balls. There are also three Pokemon encounters included in following this path:
⚫︎ Luvdisc
⚫︎ Shellder
⚫︎ Rapidash
The Arlo path follows the same item rewards, aside from the Pocket Radar (used for hunting down Team GO Rocket leaders), but features a different set of Pokémon encounters. Obtainable Pokemon from this path are:
⚫︎ Cubone
⚫︎ Slowpoke
⚫︎ Scizor
