Pokemon GO Welcomes February with a Bunch of Events
Beloved Buddies Event Introduces Dhelmise
On February 3, 2025, Pokemon GO announced the Beloved Buddies event, including the debut of Sea Creeper Pokemon Dhelmise. This event will take place from February 11 at 10:00 am to February 15, 2025, at 8:00 pm (local time).
Following this event, Dhelmise will appear in Three-Star Raids alongside Slowbro and Hippowdon. Five-Star Raids features the Legendary Pokemon Enamorus (Incarnate Forme), while Mega Raids returns Mega Tyranitar. So train your Pokemon well to defeat them and obtain them (some Pokemon have a higher rate of being Shiny).
Moreover, Pokemon like Diglett, Shellder, Fomantis, and more will increasingly appear in the wild along with their Shiny variants. Dunsparce, included in Pokemon GO’s New Year event, is also returning.
There will also be Event-themed Field Research Tasks (encounter with Tandemaus), Collection Challenges, and a PokeStop showcase, so make sure to collect as many Pokeballs as possible to complete them during the event.
Aside from that, catching Pokemon during the event rewards 2x XP, while Lure Modules last for an hour (default is 30 minutes) with the ability to attract different Pokemon. Finally, players can also gain an additional 500 Stardust when catching these Pokemon:

Community Day with Karrablast and Shelmet
A single-day event will also happen during the Beloved Buddies event. The February 2025 Community Day: Karrablast and Shelmet will take place on February 9, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time). Trainers can join this event by purchasing the ticket for $2.00 USD via its in-game store.
Karrablast and Shelmet will frequently appear in the wild alongside their Shiny variants during the event. Additionally, evolving these two Pokemon from the start of the event until February 16 will have powerful Charged Attacks. Trainers can either trade or feed them 200 candies to evolve. These are their evolved forms and the attacks learned upon evolution:
⚫︎ Escavalier (evolve from Karrablast) - Razor Shell
⚫︎ Accelgor (evolve from Shelmet) - Energy Ball
This event also includes a Community Day Special Research, allowing two encounters each for the featured Pokemon with Dual Destiny-themed Special Backgrounds. Moreover, event bonuses feature various ways to increase XP and Candy gain when catching Pokemon and others. However, the most significant bonus is the 50% less Stardust requirement when trading, making the evolution of Karrablast and Shelmet much cheaper.
Catch Hoopa Unbound Form in Hoopa Unbound Raid Day
Starting right before the end of the Beloved Buddies event, Hoopa (Unbound Form) will also frequent raids during the Hoopa Unbound Raid Day on February 15, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (local time).
This Pokemon will frequently appear in Five-Star raids. Enlist the help of other trainers and prepare Pokemons with type advantages against Psychic and Dark types to capture Hoopa. Aside from catching this Pokemon, trainers can also gain eight additional Raid Passes and 50% more XP, 2x Stardust, and increase the chance to obtain Rare Candy XL from Raid Battles.
Trainers who want to access this event can purchase a ticket in its in-game store for $4.99 USD. Additionally, buying the ticket via Pokemon GO’s Web Store includes a bonus Premium Battle Pass without additional cost.
Hatch More Pokemon Eggs with Eggs-pedition Access: February
For the whole month of February, the Eggs-pedition Access: February allows players to hatch as many Eggs as possible. Starting January 31, 2025, trainers can purchase tickets for this event for $4.99 USD on its in-game store, granting access to bonuses and Timed Research tasks throughout the month.
One of the most important bonuses of the event is the ability to hatch more Eggs by awarding one single-use incubator for the first spin on a PokeStop or Gym every day. Other bonuses include 3x XP for the first Pokemon catch, the ability to open 50 gifts per day, and more!
