Monster Hunter Wilds to Bring New Monsters and Features in Title Update 1
Mizutsune Makes a Return!
Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1, the first of several updates planned by Capcom over the year, will feature several exciting new content ranging from new monsters and features, to additional event quests and locations.
The first of these new monsters willl be Mizutsune, the Bubble Fox from Monster Hunter Generations. Following Capcom’s announcement during the recent PlayStation State of Play in February 2025, this leviathan-class monster has been confirmed to be available in early April.
Monsters Stronger Than Tempered Ones to Appear
The official Monster Hunter Twitter (X) account also mentions that “a monster of formidable strength at a level above Tempered” will be coming to the update as well. Tempered Monsters are essentially the same as their regular counterparts, with the difference being that they deal more damage and have greater health. Monsters even stronger than Tempered ones would be the perfect challenge for those who feel the current monsters are a bit too easy. Whether this hints at the return of Arch-Tempered monsters remains unknown, but it could also signal the comeback of Monster Hunter 4’s Frenzy Virus.
This could also just mean that there will be even more Guardian-type monsters, though it may be too early to speculate since not much information about this has been released yet.
New Gathering Hub Coming
A new gathering hub will also open alongside Title Update 1’s release, available only to hunters who have completed the main story.
Other updates in Title Update 1 include additional Event Quests, sure to keep players engaged as Capcom gears up for Title Update 2 in Summer 2025.
