Physical Editions
Physical pre-orders for Mario Kart World finally opened on April 24, 2025 at Best Buy, Walmart, and GameStop. These pre-orders were initially scheduled for April 9th but were delayed due to global tariffs in the United States affecting import timelines.

Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle
The Nintendo Switch 2 will be available in a bundle with Mario Kart World for $499. Choosing this bundle would save buyers $30 compared to purchasing the console and game separately, which would total $529 ($449 for the console and $80 for the game).
Pre-order invitations for the Nintendo Switch 2 began going out to select Nintendo Switch Online members on May 8th, 2025, via the Nintendo Store. This follows an initial delay from a planned April 9th start due to previously announced, but now revoked, global tariffs in the United States.

Mario Kart World DLC
Currently, Nintendo has not announced any DLC for Mario Kart World. However, given the substantial post-launch support for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with its Booster Course Pass, future DLC for Mario Kart World remains a possibility. We will provide updates as they become available, so stay tuned!
