Helldivers 2 DLC
Helldivers 2 is consistently updated with balance changes and fresh content, including new weapons and gear. For instance, the Servants of Freedom Warbond released in February 2025 introduced a host of new weapons, armor, cosmetics, and more. Additionally, the Escalation of Freedom update in August 2024 significantly elevated the challenge with a harder difficulty level, more objectives and missions, gameplay adjustments, and new enemies.
Helldivers 2: Omens of Tyranny
The Omens of Tyranny update for Helldivers 2 was shadow-dropped during The Game Awards 2024 and reintroduces the Illuminate faction, an enemy type that has been absent in the series for nearly a century—since the first Helldivers. These adversaries employ mind control to convert citizens into The Voteless, turning them against Super Earth’s democratic ideals. The update also expands the battlefield to urban environments within Super Earth’s colonies, now under siege by the Illuminate.
To counter these threats, a new squad-based transport option arrives with the update: the Fast Recon Vehicle (FRV). This stratagem allows the whole team to traverse the battlefield together, with the added bonus of passengers being able to fire upon enemies while on the move.
Helldivers 2 Warbonds
The new Borderline Justice Warbond has been introduced on March 20, 2025. This brings a permanent addition to Helldivers 2’s progression system. Unlike traditional time-limited battle passes, Warbonds are not time-restricted, allowing players to unlock rewards at their own pace. Players can unlock these rewards by earning medals during gameplay, with the Warbond available for purchase using in-game currency.
Borderline Justice features a Wild West-inspired arsenal, including the R-6 Deadeye lever-action marksman rifle, the LAS-58 Talon energy revolver, and the TED-63 Dynamite throwable. It also introduces the LIFT-860 Hover Pack, a mobility-enhancing stratagem that enables short bursts of hovering.
In addition to weapons and gear, Borderline Justice offers two new armor sets: the GS-17 Frontier Marshal medium armor and the GS-66 Lawmaker heavy armor, both equipped with the Gunslinger passive ability, which boosts reload speed, reduces recoil, and improves weapon handling. Players can also unlock new capes, banners, and emotes, including the stylish "Tip Hat" emote. The Warbond can be purchased for 1,000 Super Credits, obtainable through gameplay or in-game purchases, with rewards unlocked by earning medals during missions.
