Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 is still on track to release in Fall 2025. During their Q3 Earnings Conference Call on February 7, 2025, GTA 6’s parent company Take-Two Interactive shared their current status and future developments and releases this 2025.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed his confidence that GTA 6 will be released in Fall 2025. However, he still opened up the possibility of the game needing additional time to develop, stated "Look, there's always a risk of slippage and I think as soon as you say words like absolutely, you jinx thing."

Regardless, Zelnick said they "feel really good about it", pertaining to the expected release window for the game. He did not want to divulge anything related to the development of GTA 6, but said "We know that Rockstar seeks perfection. I never claim success before it occurs. I'm fond of saying arrogance is the enemy of continued success, so we're all running scared and looking over our shoulders and we know that the competition is not asleep. Our whole organization is super excited."

In terms of the company’s outlook on the success of their upcoming games, Zelnick stated "We are exceedingly optimistic about the commercial potential of our titles and believe that they will have a transformative effect on our business – and our industry – over the long term."

Take-Two Interactive looked ahead to its future endeavors and remained "highly confident that we will achieve sequential increases in, and record levels of, Net Bookings in Fiscal 2026 and 2027."

GTA 5 Actor Does Not Hate His Character

Fans have speculated for a while that the actor for Trevor in GTA 5 hates being associated with that character. During an interview on the Inside You podcast, GTA 5 Actor Steven Ogg expressed his thoughts about his character Trevor.

Ogg clarified that the rumor about him hating his character is not true at all. He wanted people to know that he just didn’t want to be called Trevor because that wasn’t his name. “When people call you by your character name, it's kinda weird because I kinda get it, but I'm also like meh," Ogg said.

He then briefly explained that "He's[Trevor] a great character", and added "He's awesome. I still see [Fonteno, Franklin's actor] and Ned [Luke, Michael's actor], we're friends. We were just doing a Comic Con this past weekend."

In a previous interview with Screen Rant, Ogg shared his idea of Trevor appearing in GTA 6 just to be killed at the beginning of the game. However, he said that he has not recorded anything for GTA 6, nor does he have any idea whether Trevor returns to the series or not.

GTA 6 is set to release in Fall 2025, but there are no official announcements regarding a specific release date for the game. Check out our Grand Theft Auto 6 page to stay up to date with the latest information about the game.
