Among Us 3D Release Updates
Coming May 6
Among Us 3D developer Schell Games and publisher Innersloth announced the game’s official release date. Among Us 3D’s official Twitter (X) posted on April 16 and revealed that the game will release on May 6, 2025.
The game was initially titled Among Us VR, which was then rebranded to Among Us 3D to offer a broader experience to players with its cross-play multiplayer feature. Earlier this week, the developers also unveiled the new currency, Stardust, which never expires and gives players more flexibility in selecting what they want.
Among Us 3D features a new permanent Tag Mode that introduces the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, new and returning mini-games, and a slew of new cosmetics.
For clarification, the original Among Us VR released in 2022 and the upcoming Among Us 3D are separate games, so cross-play between those games is not possible. According to Among Us 3D’s FAQs on Schell Games’ website, Among Us 3D is a completely different game.
They explained, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."
Wishlist Campaign
Among Us 3D is now available for wishlist on Steam, and with that, Schell Games introduced a wishlist campaign called Powered By Wishlists Challenge. There are several milestones fans must reach to receive in-game rewards. These rewards include the following:
● 333,333 Wishlists - New Hat
● 444,444 Wishlists - Another New Hat
● 555,555 Wishlists - A Cosmetic Surprise
● 777,777 Wishlists - Suspiciously New Exciting Cosmetic(s)
Although the final 2 milestone rewards have yet to be specified, fans can expect some epic loot to begin their journey as crewmates. Among Us 3D is set to be released on May 6, 2025 on PC.
