Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map

No Amalgams Here

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is getting a whole new map for the round-based survival mode Zombies, and is the fifth newest map to be added to the game. A quick sneak peek was revealed through the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Black Ops 6 developer Treyarch Studio’s X (Twitter). On the post dated March 12, 2025, an image depicting the front of a grand mansion marred by visible damage on its walls, flaming army car wreckage, dark puffs of black smoke, and fire from the inside.

The post is also captioned with "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" along with a "#Zombies" hashtag. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften is a recurring character in the series and had a big role to play in Call of Duty: Cold War. As Black Ops 6 is a remake of the aforementioned title, it’s no surprise that Eddie will make his appearance once again.

Eagle-eyed fans have also spotted that this map is the Mansion from Liberty Falls, set in February 1991 as dated on the teaser image. The timeline fits the narrative from the last Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, as well, prompting a continuation.

Another feature the map will have is the lack of Amalgam enemies as confirmed by Treyarch on their Instagram account. A user commented that they "cannot wait to feel the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too" to which the developers simply replied "Nope." Amalgams are Elite class enemies known for their beefy HP pool and hard-hitting attacks. With them out of the picture for this particular map, players may have a more smooth-sailing experience in this location.
