Steel Paws Overview
Steel Paws is an action-adventure mobile game developed by YS Net under the direction of Yu Suzuki, renowned for creating titles such as Shenmue and Virtua Fighter. Announced at The Game Awards in December 2024, the game was released on March 25, 2025 and is available exclusively to Netflix subscribers on iOS and Android devices.
A mysterious tower emerges every hundred years. Players will guide a young female protagonist and her companion Buddy Robots on a quest to conquer the said structure and reach the top. Throughout their climb, they will uncover the secrets of the tower and overcome various challenges within.
According to the game’s official website, Steel Paws will feature "feel-good battling action with easy to master controls to blow away hordes of enemies." Players can upgrade and acquire new skills for their mecha-animal buddies to enhance their effectiveness in battle. Additionally, unique challenges, traps, and puzzles await players as they progress through the tower.

Steel Paws Gameplay
Steel Paws is a beat ‘em up game that features simple touch controls. Players can charge attacks to unleash special moves, aim and throw objects like barrels and bombs, and even hurl their Buddy Robots in combat. As they progress, they can upgrade their Buddy Robots to enhance their abilities, all while striving to reach the summit of the Tower.
Each level of the Tower introduces distinct environments with unique hazards. From shifting sands to icy terrain, players must navigate traps, solve puzzles, and uncover hidden treasures while adapting to the challenges presented by each new floor.
