Kaiju No. 8: The Game is an upcoming free-to-play video game adaptation of Naoya Matsumoto’s manga series, Kaiju No. 8. Developed by Akatsuki Games, it marks the first video game installment in the franchise. The game currently has no release date, but it will be available on PC and mobile devices.
Kaiju No. 8 is set in a world where creatures called kaiju frequently wreak havoc. The manga follows Kafka Hibino, an ordinary worker who cleans up after kaiju attacks, whose life takes a turn when he gains the ability to transform into a kaiju himself, dubbed "Kaiju No. 8." Kafka joins the Defense Force, a military organization tasked with fighting kaiju, while struggling to control his newfound powers.

Kaiju No. 8: The Game features turn-based command battles where players lead a squad to subjugate giant monsters known as Kaijus. Combat involves selecting skills for defense team members to attack the enemy and expose their weak point, the "core," which, once revealed, signals the monster's defeat. Players can do so by unleashing powerful special movies.
