Darwin's Paradox Overview
Darwin’s Paradox is an upcoming adventure-platformer game developed by ZDT Studio and published by KONAMI. It is slated to be released something in 2025 for the PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Darwin’s Paradox stars Darwin, a young octopus peacefully living in the ocean with his family. One day, while out for a swim, he is abducted by a beam of light from above, sending him on a dangerous adventure on land. He must now make sure of all his natural abilities, from his intelligence, his malleability, and his dampness to navigate the terrifying world above and make it back home.
On his travels, he discovers the ploy of UFOOD, the company that kidnapped him, where they intend to enslave the human race by mind-controlling them through the seafood. Darwin will go on a journey to return to whence he came, and perhaps thwart mankind’s downfall in the process.

Darwin's Paradox Gameplay
Darwin’s Paradox is an action-packed adventure platformer game with puzzle and stealth mechanics. Players will control the titular octopus and utilize various skills to explore different terrain. He can use his tentacles to reach faraway objects or slingshot-launch himself across large distances. His suction-cup suckers will help him climb all sorts of surfaces to avoid trouble. He can also make use of his biology to blend into the environment to camouflage himself, becoming invisible and able to hide in plain sight.

The announcement trailer was showcased during PlayStation’s State of Play in Febraury 2025, where it featured Darwin being thrust into the dangerous quest of finding his way back home by escaping the constant dangers that chase after him on land.
