Chrono Trigger 30th Anniversary Celebration

Various Projects To Come

Classic timeless JRPG Chrono Trigger celebrates its 30th anniversary since its release back in 1995 for the Super Famicom. In a post on its official X (Twitter) account, Square Enix Japan shared the news, calling it a "masterpiece that transcends generations." After all, Chrono Trigger was a dream project created by three veterans of the game industry, namely Yuji Horii (Dragon Quest), Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball), and Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy).

Square Enix continued, "To mark the 30th anniversary and to express our gratitude to everyone who has played Chrono Trigger so far, we are planning a variety of projects over the next year that will go beyond the world of the game." (as translated by Gematsu) There are no details as to what these projects will entail just yet, but fans can stay updated through the official Square Enix and ChronoTriggerPR X (Twitter) accounts.
