Diablo 4 Skip Campaign Function
Less Time Grinding For New Characters
The recently released video called Inside the Game: Class Your Way by Diablo's official YouTube Channel provided an explanation of the various class types and their roles in the game. The video also briefly showed a character menu that had a skip campaign button. This indicates that players will not have to replay the story content when they create new characters.
Beat The Campaign Once To Use Skip Campaign
However, it is essential to note that this feature will be available to players who have already beaten the campaign at least once. This was clarified by Diablo's Global Community Director, Adam Fletcher.
Lead Quest Designer Don Adams further elaborated on this feature, explaining that the game team had put lots of effort into creating a high-quality campaign that is worth playing multiple times. However, they also respect the players' time and have made it so that players only need to beat the campaign once per account.
Ultimately, the decision to skip the campaign or play through it again will be up to the players. With the skip campaign feature, players will have more flexibility and the option to jump right into the action with new characters without replaying the story content.
Are There Skip Campaign Functions In Previous Diablo Games?
Diablo 3 Unlocks Adventure Mode After Beating The Campaign Once
Even though it was not the same as having a specified button for players to skip a campaign, Diablo 3 players could skip a story campaign by using Speedrun in Easy mode and the Kill Matheal Quest.
Having the Skip Campaign Button makes it easier for players to play the game with a new character as they don't have to do Speed runs or finish a specific quest to be able to unlock an Adventure Mode. The function is the same but was made accessible in Diablo 4.
