Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Overview

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is the forthcoming sequel to the 2019 action game Daemon X Machina. Produced by Kenichiro Tsukuda and developed by Marvelous’ First Studio, the game is scheduled for release on September 5, 2025, across multiple platforms, including PC via Steam, the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It was officially announced during the Marvelous Games Showcase in May 2023.

In a world ravaged by war, players assume the role of an Outer, a mercenary piloting a customizable mech suit known as an Arsenal. Their primary mission is to combat the Sovereign Axiom empire and defend humanity from alien creatures called Immortals.

Gameplay in Titanic Scion involves fast-paced mech combat, exploration and extensive customization. Players can upgrade their Arsenals with various weapons and abilities. The game retains the anime-style aesthetics of its predecessor.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Gameplay

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion builds upon the core mech gameplay of its predecessor. Player pilot customizable mechs, known as Arsenals, through various missions across large-scale environments. As mercenaries, they engage in assignments that span diverse landscapes and pit them against the Immortals.

Like the first title, combat here makes use of an armory of 300+ pieces of equipment. Close-quarters combat relies on melee weapons such as blades, while ranged encounters utilize armaments like missiles and railguns. Additionally, players can scavenge equipment from defeated enemies during battles.

The game also includes particle armaments that consume a resource called Femto and provide specialized powers. These armaments come in three forms: Assault Shift (AS) for automatic enemy targeting, Guard Shift (GS) for nullifying damage, and Wing Shift (WS) for enhanced movement speed.
